Vertonghen getting played to death, do we really need to play Kane in a game like this and all of Dier, Dembele and Wanyama?

And could we not have just given TOB a game amongst all these safe CM’s instead of Sissoko to see if he could possibly be a viable alternative as an 8?
So frustrating. Not many opportunities to try out some other players including the youth but this game should be one,

Newport play 3 at the back so I'm guessing we're matching that.

Vorm
Foyth - Dier - Vertonghen
Trippier - Wanyama - Dembele - Walker-Peters
Sissoko
Llorente - Kane

What with a defining month of testing matches ahead, I find it absurd we risk Kane and Vertonghen again in a match we can surely do without their presence to win.

Yes, i'm fully expecting @tiger666 to correct me when one/both score but the sentiment still remains.

Also, Lamela out with a sore ass takes the fucking biscuit in my opinion - this was an ideal game for him to be involved in considering Poch was likely to 'rest' Eriksen.

...hopefully Georgiou will get some time...
COYS

Georgiou is a lefty isn’t he?

A wide midfielder or possibly left wing back? (Might be getting my youth players mixed up as we have Bennetts as well).

And let’s hope youre more patient with gerogiou than you are of winks eh? :troll:

He picked Amos instead so still a youngster.

Really odd decision though, especially following the comments about Sissoko being the only “8” type he has right now. He plays Dier, Dembele and Wanyama and puts Amos (another busy ****) on the bench instead of TOB who can offer more of that 8 type game he says we lack.

TOB is still coming back from injury and was originally on the bench so something may have happened.

Really frustrating that Lamela isn't fit enough to play today. Would've been the perfect game to get 90mins and get more match sharp for the run in.

Must be 3142?!
Vorm
Foyth Dier Verts
Wanyama
Tripps Sissoko Dembele KWP
Kane Llorente
Yeah swapped them, but genuinely prefer Dembele to play next to Wanyama. Looks like he'll have to be a creator in this line up

That makes so much more sense than the strange 442 I was trying to work out.

Swap Dembele and Sissoko. I don't see the latter playing any telling balls for the front 2, particularly Llorente. Sissoko better driving forward from deep, Dembele better with the opportunity to make play with the ball(at this level).

Well I’m looking forward to seeing our best player get the shit kicked out of him for 90 mins on a rugby pitch, knowing we play Utd in 4 days, followed by Liv, Arsenal and then Juve.

Is Poch drunk?
