I’m suffering from mental illness and honestly I don’t know how long more I can watch Spurs/football I’m serious, not joking. I used to watch football because I loved to watch it now I watch it because I’m home all the time and has nothing else to do.
These types of games makes me even more depressed, this is painful.

Honestly I believe that the mentality/attitude is what stops us from winning trophies not because we don’t have the money to compete. We have one of the best players in the world (Kane), a class player in Son, one of the best defenders in Vertonghen and Alderweireld, one of the best attacking midfielder (Eriksen), apparently one of the best managers in the world in Pochettino so honestly we can’t use the “we’re building a new stadium” excuse for very long.

And one last thing, Sissoko and Trippier Out.

Think that is very harsh. He didn't have a particularly great game but I don't think he was terrible. Look fairly good on the ball for me.
Probably is harsh and reactionary but i’m sure most of his first touches today ended up as a Newport throw in.

He also got twined by the fella who fixed his boiler last week, too.

All I know is that we've thrown away one cup, nearly thrown away another through lazy, arrogant performances. We've also thrown away quite a few points in the league against lower sides for the same reason, jeopardising our chance of more CL (we're not going to win the CL obviously), So, I kinda think this result is representative of where we are, at least this season.

I am hoping this is a blip due to no home ground, other sides getting stronger, etc. But the fact is that the players have let Poch down this season so far. With the exception of Kane and maybe Son, they simply haven't put in anywhere near the effort that they put in the past two seasons and I think that needs to be recognised.
Good post.. a lot of them believing their own hype.. kane son and Vertonghan only three that have really earned their wages for me

It's simple really.
He's cheap and we couldn't find anyone else.

Standard stuff.

I have no idea about Moura having never seen him but by God I hope he has tons of pace. My gut feel is he doesn't as we don't seem to need those kinds of player

One could also argue Poch is believing his own hype as well, with his book coming out before christmas, he also set the tone for disrespecting the cups so it's only obvious the players would follow suit with their attitude towards it.

I love Poch but he is as much to blame for this arrogance as anybody in that team.

He's an average player - but he was one o
I don't think anyone can say wanyama and dembele were good, they were awful. However, at least dembele can beat a player and pass effectively and Wanyama when he is on song is one of the best defensive midfielders in the league. The point is with Sissoko is I don't know what he is good at. His first touch is rubbish, he can't make any passes except the most basic ones, his shooting is pretty poor, his crossing is poor. I don't think even think he works THAT hard to somewhat balance this and he isn't brave.

The only two positives I can think of is that he is quite a big bloke and he is quick. Thats it.

He was comfortably in our top three players today. That does't mean he's a great player or should be in our first 11 when all players are fit - but it DOES mean that so many people here are viewing his performances through a bias that is simply not related to reality.

Wanyama was comfortably our worst player today. He made error after error and broke team rules - you could see Poch losing it on the bench. But the experts on here focus hate on Sissoko and will be baffled - yet again - when he's yet again selected ahead of the likes of Wanyama and Dembele.

You've got to lose the confirmation bias or you'll just drive yourself insane.

It’s a sad, sad indictment when I can say, with absolute confidence, that Vincent Janssen offered so, so much more than Fernando Llorente.

Never seen such a cumbersome oaf in my life.

Arrogance, I like. But needs to be smart, a word he consistently used but doesn't show. Still alot to learn.

I'd add Verts in that bracket too.
