Newsnow rumours

Just been going thru newsnow and found some snips of transfer rumours.

Newcastle are after Daws and Davids (wtf!!?? lol), but Daws doesn't wanna go.

LYP has asked to go back to PSV, so talks will start soon.

We're also linked to Rennes attacker Stephane M'Bia (i've not heard of him)

Berbs will be going to Madrid, as Ruud is on his way to Milan.

And another site says Berbs is going to Utd, and Eto'o to Inter.

All in all, not sounding too good for us today. :roll:

The Davids to Newcastle link is hilarious. I've watched Ajax a few times and he's been pretty good, but the pace of the game is so much slower, and the quality of most of the opposition very poor.

Leapy to PSV has been mooted for some time now. He's still a big fan favourite there (he got a great reception from their travelling support when he was warming up at the Lane). M'bia was linked somewhere or other last week.

As for the Berby-Eto'o stuff… :shrug:

I think Berbatov is a Barcelona fan. Wants to follow Stoickov (his idol). So I don't think he would want to go to Real, especially if rumors are to be believed that Barca are interested as well.

The key thing to remember, when having Newsnow in the background all day, is that it's not what the headline is, it's where it came from - FansFC and Clubcall are the worst, making up pure rubbish, sensationalist wank but get away with it by putting a ? on the end of each headline. The "rumours" they have are as reliable as a 1980's Austin Metro with a half pound of cum in it's petrol tank.

On the next level down, you have the fan-contributed sites and blogs, such as Tribal Football and Soccerblog and all them ones. Most of the articles written for any given team are written with such bias and often tons of pointless finger wagging at other teams and their fans, it's more like these are sites that are only there for people to hate other teams, rather than love their own.

Handy resource, just have to watch what sources they are using :up:

I have heard from someone at spurs, robbo to middlesbro, and berbatov to barca tied in with eto'o coming to the lane, cant say how true that is but was just sharing it!

Hands up who thinks that if Milan or Barca want him, a bid of 25m would be more than generous, but if Chelsea want him, bids start at 35m.

it's not unfeasable, when we're paying half that for Darren Bent from Charlton - at least a couple of million extra just for the proximity of the two clubs i expect.
