This might be wishful thinking on my part but I mentioned previously that the statement that we had not met with JN was strange and I was scratching my head about what we would have to gain from putting it out there.

Thinking it through a bit more, maybe we jumped the gun a bit and cut across some sort of non-solicit/compete/dealing agreement in starting talks with him. It could be legal arse-covering.....have seen it happen before, informal meeting happens, parties realise there may have been restrictions they were not aware of, parties distance themselves whilst they find a work around.

All conjecture but not implausible that JN could still be on.

I am about 8 pages behind here but in Herc's info, given that Slot wouldn't be a surprise and it's not Poch then it would have to be JN

With the smokescreen being that BM might have asked for a lot of compensation and we might have said no way and we'll look elsewhere. And then they've come back with a different offer

Need to temper this with the fact that what Herc thinks is a nice surprise might not be the same for everyone (someone mentioned that he had been a big Gallardo supporter early in the process).
