Please no!!!!!

Lo Celso, Ndombele, Reguilon etc…. are all done here.
We should never integrate them back in the squad, we need to address our bad recruitment, not give them more chances.
Whilst I get this, a few months ago fans pretty unanimously wanted Emerson gone. I'm happy for any new manager to decide on players case by case - a manager that wants possession would be the first Tanguy/GLC have really seen here, for instance. Don't think it'll happen but it'd be nice if it did. My hope is our playing style next year is radically different, so whatever helps achieve that is fine by me.

Besides, I don't think it'd mean they get in the way or prevent other signings if they were to decide to use them, given that we just spent £45m and paid off Doherty's contract to purchase our third right back in eighteen months.

Are you really suggesting Ndombele should get another chance here?
You have to be kidding me

I'm all for smart risk but Kompany feels a bit early. He failed at Anderlecht and is doing a great job at Burnley. Another problem is when City pick up the phone...
Tbf though, if city do pick up the phone, he'll have to have done an amazing job here to be on their radar.

Personally I don’t see Ndombele staying here. I just don’t think he has the mentality, drive and focus to be a top player. He’s been pretty average at Napoli and I think the sooner we sell him the better. However I could certainly see Gio being given a shot by Enrique, Poch, Gallardo etc.

Ive given up trying to second guess what managers will do with certain players tbh. I don't think Tanguy is mobile enough for Gallardo but I can see Enrique utilising him.....I can definitely see Gallardo & Enrique giving GLC another shot

As I said above, Lo Celso (and to extent Ndombele) not working is more a symptom of us appointing managers that prefer athletes rather than technicians. If we move back a to possession based style I could definitely see a role for Lo Celso - a player who has excelled on loan and has been one of Argentina's best players over the last few years.

Obviously this is predicated on Lo Celso or the others being open to playing for us again, and the new manager feeling they could be utilised. But I was never of the opinion that those players were simply bad recruitment. It's more nuanced than that.

We could just bring back Lo Celso instead of signing another AM/CM tbf.
He has regressed massively since his Betis (or even early Spurs) days and not only that but he is injury prone now too. Keeping him would be a huge mistake.

Exactly. Spurs fans are too sentimental with players.

Its unlikely but Lloris, Sanchez, Regi, Tanganga, Sess, Winks, Lo Celso, Lucas, Ndombele should all be gone in summer.

I keep reading about this Chatgpt artific intelligence thing. As a matter of interest has anyone asked it who the next manager should be?

I would be happy to keep Lloris and #2, but agree with the rest.

Totally agree, but think it's not fans truly at fault, it's the club hierarchy who keep the dross hanging around for so long we have no choice but to try and rehabilitate them so we don't think they're sunk costs.

However IMO Regi gets one more chance if we play a back 4 under a posession manager like Enrique. All he's proved here and at Atletico is he can't play in a low block. Outside of that he's been a hard working team player with flashes of really good play in the right system.

All the others get binned off immediately though if we're in any way serious about backing a new manager. Which we all know means Lo Celso and Tanganga will start the first game next season...

Think your being harsh on Regi, would prefer him to Sess
Haven’t started a game since April 2022.

Think we all now what that means - he won’t be getting back in the Spurs squad next season and he hasn’t played enough to warrant a decent transfer fee so will therefore be loaned out again.

Slightly off topic but Tim Stiedten the DoF & Head Scout at Leverkusen is leaving.

He was wanted by Chelsea in the summer.

He got in players like Hlozek, Wirtz, Hincapie, Frimpong, Diaby, Palacios, Tapsoba, Schick etc

Was also instumental in getting Xabi Alonso in as manager.

Was at Werder Bremen as DoF and Head Scout. Got in Gnabry, Rashica, Klaasen, Sargeant etc all sold for a profit.

Fabrizio Romano has said there is PL interest in him so could be interesting if Paratici goes
Would be nice if we could get this guy or the one from Benfica...

I mostly agree with this on an intellectual level, but on an emotional level, I really dislike it. I'm feeling more and more like I did towards the end of Jose's time, which is a feeling of staleness towards the club, which makes me want new and fresh things (new ideas, new faces, fresh strategy from the club, etc.). I fully realize it's all potentially cutting off my nose to spite my face territory, and I would be singing a different tune after [player I want gone] turned in a string of 8/10 performances, but my emotional feeling is get rid of the lot of them and start new. To take it a step further, I'm even down on potential coaches who I feel (with no evidence of course) may consider reincorporating some of those failures from previous regimes.
