I just hope any manager coming in is willing to get invested in a long term project, on a long contract and as such is keen to start straight away in order to ensure we have CL football in their 1st full season

We also got to hope that the club is not scared to sign a manager on a long term contract and more importantly deliver on what tools/funds/agreements that was discussed before the contract.

Why do people keep getting this confused?

We pay installments on all transfers.

So, this summer we will owe on lots of players... not just the ones we have not purchased yet.

But, the difference between Porro and Kulusevski - those payments are not yet accounted for (in an accounting/budget sense) - until we take up the options. So, that money will be the same as if we went out and bought Porro and Kulusevski this summer - not that we pay for the entire transfer this summer.
I get that, I’m not confused. But one would presume that has been factored in already. I don’t think we brought in those players on loans with an obligation to buy in the hope we’d have CL money to pay for them.
I’ll say again I believe we have plenty of money to spend in transfers we just choose not to. The whole narrative about CL money is just to excuse the lack of spending which is amusing as even with CL money in the past we have failed to make the necessary investments in the team.

If it’s all set, I can’t see anyone other than Mason coming in tbh. No real links to anyone and we definitely wouldn’t have got JN in already.

So we can all forget about short term appointment of Mason. Well thats good news imo. Good for Mason as well. Not fair keep
dumping pressure on him at this stage of his coaching career.
If its JN, Poch or DiZerbi then I'm happy enough.
