I think the clubs have broken the relationship with the fans by now treating them as customers

Sky high prices, awful strategy with no explanations or accountability, operating as a quasi real estate company with an underinvested playing squad along with other clubs selling out to gulf states and hedge funds has taken a lot out of the game

if spurs were a well run club that charged prices in line with its genuine ambition, and were clear about what the strategy and goals were I think most would accept that especially given the gulf state era we live in

its the scattergun executed strategy and clear impression the business is operated to maximise asset value for the owners that don’t seem particularly competent a lot of the time causing the cumulative damage over many years now
I dont disagree with most of what you are saying, but do think it only partly explains the phenomenon.

Urgh, really hate seeing Rodgers lead the betting with us (even if this market is very fluid/bookies don't have a clue);

Rodgers 3/1
Poch 5/1
Potter 6/1
Nagelsmann 6/1
Kompany 6/1
Slot 8/1
Bookies just make someone really short to make it look like they have some inside knowledge and people pile on. The the next day it'll be someone else. We must have had 10 favourites before the Nuno debacle. Don't fall for it.

Apparently Potter failed at Chelsea because they had too many good players..🤔🤣

He'll have no such problems here.

🤣🤣🤣

I've heard it all now.

The fact Nagelsmann, would go to Chelsea over us is poor indictment of the state of our club

Im not deluded to say we are better or bigger than Chelsea(at least not in the last 20 years)

This is a Chelsea team:
  • With no CL football
  • Team who have sacked 2 first team managers in one season including his replacement
  • Owner with no experience of football
  • No clear strategy in the transfermarkt other than to buy anything with a pulse
  • Team currently sitting 11th
  • A Team that may have to scale down its transfer budget in coming seasons as they avoid FFP
  • Team whose longest manager reign since 2003, stands at 3 years 3 months.

Chelsea has a lot going for it including up and coming young players and two more seasons

Have a feeling that we'll get Slot to start a new "project" and to "rebuild". He'll bed in youngsters leading to inconsistent results.

Then in March we'll be 10th and not willing to see the project out as we may miss out on European football and we'll sack him and bring Rodgers in and the cycle will continue ad nauseum

Di Marzio:
Chelsea rate him very high and may push to get it done soon: the Blues could even find an agreement in the coming days in order to have Nagelsmann on the bench as the coach next season, as he's not keen on joining with just a few games until the end of the season.

Why the fuck have we not acted decisively like a big club and got him signed on for next season already? Chelsea seemingly have him on board already. Absolutely fucking pathetic.
Because Nagelsmann probably doesn't want to come here...

Potter has been completely outshone by Roberto De Zerbi, who looks a massive improvement in every single area.

Potter and Brenda were found out, the latter took a little longer.

Let's see next season.

At the moment he's playing on Potter's foundations; it's very early days for De Zerbi.

All the ITK seems to be lining up regarding Slot so I imagine we approached Nagelsmann and he wanted to wait for summer.

Weve had Slot, and maybe someone like Ange, on the list all along so have decided to move forward with those knowing there's a good chance Chelsea would fire Potter.

Or am I giving the board too much credit?

Not fussed if NG doesnt join us. He is/was the exciting choice but there are loads of young and talented managers out there (if that is our plan forward)

Lucky we have Mason tied down as chelsea like to move fast, they’ll have to settle for Nagelsmann to avoid an endless search for the next nuno…

Actually, I read a report on De Zerbi. Until WC break he didnt change much and made a couple of tweaks.

Since the WC he's changed the approach to his style and they are playing even better.

If that is accurate that is seriously impressive
