Fair play to Chelsea for acting now. Maybe they realised how absurd it is to have the previous team in charge.

You do realise in the world of football, Conte is seen as an elite manager? Irrespective of his time at spurs (which was a horrible watch), he’ll get a top job before Potter.

Unless Poch has had a road to Damascus conversion, I believe he struggles with/doesn't want to work with a DoF. That alone should disqualify him from consideration imo

Going with the logic that Enrique would be more likely to start now, with Naggers being the summer option, after his ‘break’?

Lots of managers choose to start at the end of the season, even if they're free now. There's not enough training time to come in and implement any ideas at this time of the season, especially in a club still playing twice a week in CL. So if you have a complex system, all you can do is half implement it and potentially not be successful and damage your reputation with the club/players/fans.

There has been some reports Enrique would prefer to come in to a new club in the summer too. Can't immediately find them.

Chelsea had a world class manager who was happy there, committed to the medium/long term and was doing a good job. Then they chose to sack him for the current chaos.

At least with Conte the situation was completely untenable and he clearly had to be sacked. We’re in a mess now but it’s not like you could say if we’d just stuck with Conte everything would’ve been fine.

But that is the case for Chelsea. If they hadn’t sacked Tuchel they’re a 1000x better off right now.

I think it was widely reported that he clashed with the Chelsea hierarchy but there weren’t many incidents where it sounded like Tuchel was wrong.

It was stuff like the new ownership showing him slides of a 4-4-3 formation they thought he should play and him losing his temper. Or having to explain to Boehly constantly over the summer that he didn’t want Ronaldo and he wouldn’t improve the side.

Tuchel does also have a rep for being a bit arrogant so it may not have all been one way but it sounded like 90% of it was him getting annoyed at people sticking their nose where it clearly doesn’t belong.

I honestly don’t know how Ajax’s defence is second best in the league this season, they always look unbalanced whenever I’ve seen them. Timber is having a bad season.
