I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt up until now. But we’re now scrabbling around for third and fourth choices.

The club simply had to get it right this time. If Slot is first choice then just pay the money.

Can’t see anything expect disaster from here on out. Gonna be looking for a new boss in November again probably.

What’s scary about the other names linked to us is the drastic difference in style of play. Surely your candidates should all play a similar style of football? and not a case of missing out on an attacking manager and signing a defensive one instead.

I’ll never forget Levy’s speech re Spurs returning to attacking football and then giving the managers job to Mr Dull, Nuno.

16 days. 2 weeks and a squirt until we've reached the same number of days it took to appoint Nuno.

Shambles.

I like Postecoglu because he carries himself in an admirable way in his interviews and explanation of how he works. His ethos aligns with what we should aspire to be like. But talking a good game is not enough. Brendan Rodgers achieved the exact same things at Celtic. He was successful at Swansea, almost won the Premier League with Liverpool, came close to Champions League football with Leicester and won the FA Cup with Leicester. It unravelled at the end for him at Leicester just as it unravelled at Liverpool. But objectively his CV is far better. If it wasn't for the fact he carries himself in an annoying self-righteous way he should be higher on the list than Postecoglu for fans and board alike.

There are so many similarities between Daniel and the current bunch of pricks in charge of the UK in the T*ry Government - do what they want and seem oblivious to what's going on around them whilst the majority of people can see its a fucking car crash.

I've tried to become a bit ambivalent to something like this, where we all have no direct involvement in the process....but it's really starting to grind my gears.
I know we mere mortals don't know 99% of what goes on behind closed doors, but fck me, it looks like an absolute shit show at the moment 🤦‍♂️

Personally, as I've posted before, I think Big Ange would be amazing here. People harp on about 'it's only Celtic/Scotland etc' but the guy has paid his dues around the world and improved every team/club he's been at and I have no doubt he would do the same here.
Surely the fact he only has a rolling 1e month deal would be music to Danny boys ears with no/little compo to be paid??

I just want to enjoy watching Spurs again 😫

You never know, it might be back on this afternoon.
Decided to look at it with a bit of positivity.

Also suddenly dawned on me there is a possibility that just like in 2021, we could end up with the Wolves manager!!

It was probably Slot who asked the Club to go public and deny we spoke to JN. Now he has completely fucked us over too. What an embarrassment of a football club we have become.

Appointing a man who has a history of his tenures unravelling spectacularly at a club with a history of its managers tenures unraveling spectacularly seems a great fit, no?

Surely you can apply this same logic to how RDZ performed with Shakhtar in the CL (virtually identical to Ange at Celtic)?
You can but there is a big difference here. RDZ knows from the off he was first choice and that he will get the backing he wants, because Brighton wanted him and made him their priority. Mangers aren't stupid and know that clubs will have spoken and wanted numerous managers ahead of them, and that they are an after thought because we are getting desperate. It's how we ended up with Nuno. I keep saying it but this interviewing process is bullshit. It's not like appointing a cashier for Tesco ffs. Managers, like players have to feel wanted if they are top of the food chain. You have to sell the idea to them not the other way around. I know enough people in the game(agents etc) to know this is the case.

Top clubs head hunt their managers, they don't advertise for them on Indeed.

At this point there’s only one big name left who is actually willing to come here.

The manger search is over. Announce Beyoncé.
