He is shite
He is shite -> If Conte wants him, do you care ?
He is shite
I'm in!
That’s nice. Thanks ?It's evident that most people on this forum ignore what you say in general
Can't see why Roma would allow him to leave on a loan with an option considering he is one of their more valuable assets. An obligation makes more sense to me from their perspective.
? You're welcome. True though, right? Or at least it must feel that way sometimes. That’s nice. Thanks ?
When you consider he scored the goal that broke Roma's trophyless run (which was the same length as ours) then, yes, he was clutch. That hat trick against Bodo as well, the context was pretty big, remember Bodo had humiliated Roma in the group stage.Question to the people who watch Serie A and have some knowledge of his Conference League games (@Ghost Hardware @fishhhandaricecake ) - Considering he scored a hattrick in the QF and the winning goal in the finals, would you consider him a clutch/delivers-on-the-big-occasions kinda player?
Just guessing here but perhaps Conte likes his ability to deliver when it really matters?
I disagree, Mourinho did this because he has zero patience with young talents and nurturing them.He did the same to Salah and De Bruyne because his team was fucking loaded and he had world class options in front of them, Kulusevski also played in a significantly better team than Jose’s Roma. Zaniolo should be the player they build their team around instead he’s being binned off.
It should tell you something if you’re willing to really pay attention and analyze the situation. For one, Zaniolo is one of the first names on the team sheet and played 42 times this year. It ain’t the same thing as Kulu or Salah in the slightest, those guys weren’t starters most of tbe time.
But if the De Bruyne/Salah false equivalence suits you, then be my guest to live in dreamland about what this transfer actually is.
I think the history of recovery from ACL's has only improved as the process has improved - Van Dijk returned like a rolls royce, you don't get more agile at his height than him (generally). ACL is an awful injury but it's usually the players confidence after that hinders them, not their knees.I just can't look past his injury record - he's a big lad, and I reckon with knees like that he'll (further) lose his pace and explosive power.
I just think this would be a bad idea.
I get the whole "if Conte wants him, it's good enough for me", and that's fine, obviously, but my gut feeling is Maddison would be worth the incremental money we would pay for him.
It's like you describing Lamela.... that's how I felt about him.. in his final 2 yrs he grew on me though but I found him very frustrating in his first 4 plus years.Im saying no because hes painfully average. has a crap output, runs down blind alleys constantly, is one footed and is perma crocked too
Thanks for that. In that sense I think he's worth a punt as a loan with option. When you consider he scored the goal that broke Roma's trophyless run (which was the same length as ours) then, yes, he was clutch. That hat trick against Bodo as well, the context was pretty big, remember Bodo had humiliated Roma in the group stage.
Sorry everyone, I'm going to lock the thread. We're only interested in good players. He is shite
I’m not surprised if so, I must say I’m still hoping we don’t go through with it. There is a part of me that would be genuinely curious to see what Conte could do with him. But I guess I was really hoping to see us make one attacking addition that would really push for a starting spot in our best line up. And as we don’t really have a creative midfielder, then it would be an obvious pick to bring in some real quality in that position. Not sure he's our 'top' choice
