With all due respect Ron, if you’re convinced by a player’s ability over a few carefully selected clips, you haven’t got a leg to stand on.

I could put together a compilation of Soldado’s goals for us, drop a sick beat on it and call it Bobby Soldado | The Spurminator | Goals and assists and people who relied on YouTube would think he’s the best striker in the world.

YouTube videos intentionally don’t show you the bad bits.
"The Spurminator" just sounds so very wrong!

Lamela is not going anywhere though. He's not on massive wages, he's professional, he doesn't cause a stink when he's not playing and lucky for him and unlucky for anyone who has him in their fantasy transfer list to be leaving Poch really likes him which has been backed by 2 if not 3 itks so it virtually places him in the untouchable tier of players.

We signed him for 25m 5 seasons ago to replace him now would be 40+M minimum with no guarantees the player coming in is better.

So let's move on he's not going anywhere.

Why not sell him for a good prospect for the future?
If we buy these players he will be a bench warmer anyway

What has he really done for us. Great pressing, some good flicks but the amount of time he runs into trouble is ridiculous.
He isn't a bright player
Has talent but has no idea how to use it

I suppose opinions drive this forum, but for what it's worth this is mine...

Firstly, his technique is very good, possibly one of the best at the club. He makes controlling and passing the ball, even under pressure, look effortless.

Secondly, his passing is quality, especially those 3 to 10 yard quick balls to by-pass the opposition and keep an attack flowing.

Thirdly, his pressing and work rate in general is exceptional.

Fourthly, despite his appearance, he's a bit of a 'hard-man' in his own way, with a degree from the 'Dark Art College' I think every successful team needs a 'naughty boy' in their side to keep the opposition on their toes.

Overall, it's injuries that have done him in over the last couple of seasons. If he could keep himself fit, I think he'd be a starter in most games.

I'll add to this by saying that I also think he's hugely popular and is a good lad to have in the squad.

I agree with 3 and 4 I also think he has talent but he has grossly underacheived with us I think and while he is talented he hasn't got the football intelligence to use it where us could be a major factor. He dribbles into trouble a lot. Just hasn't made an impact, even before his injuries. When we were bad he sometimes looks good. But overall a seed that didn't mature.

Because I like what I can see with my own eyes in the here and now not what someone is going to sell me 3 years down the line.

And we have done that with a host of players over the last few years and few if not any have worked out, getting a few bigger established players this summer could see us cut the gap between ourselves, City and Pool while putting a bit of a gap between us and UTD, Arse, Chelsea.

Our stock has never been so high Utd Arse chelsea stock has never been so low. So let's strike now.

I respect your view
To me if he stays or goes doesn't matter unless we get someone better
Looks like Juve maybe in for Zaniolo anyway

TOTTENHAM target Nicolo Zaniolo is NOT in negotiations to leave Roma this summer, according to his agent.

But the agent of the midfielder, Claudio Vigorelli, insisted there were no current offers on the table.

As quoted by Calciomercato, Vigorelli said: "To date, as far as we are concerned, no negotiations are underway with any international or Italian club."

Zaniolo has only just turned 20 but has impressed since joining from Inter Milan last year for £4m.

He has been the subject of interest for Juventus and European champions Liverpool as well, but Vigorelli suggested a move was unlikely.

He said: "We have heard a lot about Zaniolo, Roma and his contract in recent weeks.

"Given the media attention to which Nicolo was subjected at national and international level, it is important to make some clarifications.

"Nicolo is a heritage of Roma who believed in his talent first and foremost.

"This is why it is essential to build together the most suitable path to enhance it and continue the extraordinary growth path also in the next season."

Also pre injury vast majority of games when he was subbed we looked vastly more under pressure.
