A well played first half and a good second half performance. Could have been a hat trick for Harry Kane, unlucky to strike the side posts twice. Up to third and +10 goal difference.

Imagine how happy you will be when you realise it's +25 goal difference ;)

Well, your reading of the game is nonsense.
Lol, how?
It's not a black and white issue. I agree that there are benefits to resting our only striker when we're ahead (although not comfortably ahead), but that goal from open play will boost his confidence considerably.
i get all that tho! I would love him to play every minute and be fit and score goals in every game. The season is still very long and getting down to the bigger games in the cups is when we will need him more, more than 2 nil up against Norwich. I'm chuffed to bits we won and are 3rd. But you can't have it both ways, if you choose not to sign a back up striker then you must rest the guy when these games are won. Imo of course

I think that's fair enough. However in this instance I think Pochettino was right to leave him on as he was looking more energetic than he has done for a while.

Another job done. Quite extraordinary really. This is Chelsea type behaviour. Go out to Norwich on a Tuesday night in February, bag a quick goal, consolidate with a penalty and flatter the performance with a third goal at the end. 0-3. That's Title winning Chelsea obviously, not pre-Christmas Chelsea. Yes, the second half was scrappy but we seemed comfortable throughout. What Poch is doing now is interesting 'Fergie-style' stuff. He's using players interchangeably, so that nobody feels part of a 'first XI' or just a bench player. With the exception of Lloris, Toby, maybe Kane, everybody else gets time on the pitch and time to rest. Everybody gets a chance to shine and a chance to watch the player competing for their place; Walker & Trippier, Rose and Davies, Lamela and Son, etc. It fosters team spirit AND competition at the same time. We haven't had this for a long time.

Like my original post stated, I had just got in from football so I hadn't seen the game, I just saw we were 2 nil up and Kane was still on the park. Good to hear tho

Chuffed to bits with this, well done lads!!!!

What do you think you are doing here with your positivity?! Don't you realise that Kane was knackered and should have been subbed, we got battered by Norwich and were lucky that the ref was shit and we got 3 goals. Rose is shit. Alli does nothing other than score. Eriksen doesn't contribute. Poch makes bad subs. Levy is tight. United, city and Leicester won.

I agree. With no back up and playing him in every game it's likely he will get injured at some time. If it was a case of trying to sneak into 4th for CL then it's probably worth the risk but we now have a chance dare I say it for the title for the first time and it would be heartbreaking if we were almost there and Harry got injured with a few games to go and we dropped points.
I would play a few squad players for Europe and hope it works as the PL title is more important than anything else.

On the performance itself, I think Kane deserves credit for 2 goals and twice hitting the woodwork. Toby marshalled Wimmer through a potentially tricky PL game, Eriksen ran his socks off, and frankly nobody did badly. I'd like to see Walker trying to cross with his right (as he used to do in partnership with Lennon) rather than cutting back so much. I'd like Moose to aim to drive through and hit at least one left foot powerhouse a match. But overall no complaints. We just need to learn to avoid the 15 minutes per match of sloppiness we slip into. But this team is young and getting better all the time.

I think people forget that poch training is probably more intense than this 90 minutes kane has just done. He probably rather stay the full 90 so he doesnt have extra training laps to do tomorrow.

3-0 away win. Up to 3rd. Ahead of the scum.

And still complaints and whinging??!!

Unbelievable.

Someone's always got to moan. The worst it got was when people were complaining that Kane mishit his penalty against Bournemouth. The same penalty that went in. It was unbelievable stuff!

I was out singing tonight, so I didn't see the match. Not a lot is, but music > football ;).

The highlights are always deceptive, but it looked as if we ground up and ground down the opposition, as we have done with a succession of less talented teams this season. They couldn't live with us when we pressed and attacked, whereas our Vertonghen-light defence handled what was thrown at it without a lot of alarms.

What strikes me about our form is this. We have just played four consecutive away matches, which is unusual enough in itself. We have won all four, every one by a two or three goal margin. Our tally for those four away matches is 12 goals scored and 2 goals conceded. And the 2 goals conceded were both own goals.

That's fucking ridiculous. We're going to have to start taking ourselves a bit more seriously now.

Especially when most of us were looking at a 'rebuilding season' and would have been happy with a top six.
Granted, the form of chelski and Man U has help but that's even more of a reason why we need to ensure we get top three this season.
I just love the way we seem to be flying under the radar of the press though as the majority of their tripe revolves around other clubs.

Kyle Walker is the best right back in PL this season. He has improved so much -even put a cross today (y). Trippier is so unfortunate to have Walker ahead of him. Walker is making a strong case for starting in Euros
