Weren't a great night all in all, but lets face it...at least we're not playing a load of Bulgarian fish market workers tomorrow in the Emmerdale Cup.

I think it says more about you mate. Basking in the glory of losing a final.

No doubt it was an achievement to get there.
But it’s nothing to be celebrating for years to come.

There's no evidence to suggest I was doing the former.

And you've just proved my point with the latter.

We were the shittest of two shit teams, in a shit final.
Yes, it was great to get there but unless we're getting to finals on a regular basis, and actually being competitive in them, then we're standing still at best.

I really don't think we can use the fact that we reached a Champions League final, as a shining beacon of how wonderful everything is at the club.

Totally agree with Poch. It's the lack of intensity and determination to perform as a collective, working and fighting for each other.

It's not there, but it's down to Poch to find the solutions, to re-focus them and to increase our intensity.

Far too many times this year we stroll out and play like we're in a coma until we concede.

It was nice to see Poch out of his seat and shouting tonight though, it's hide time imo.

But ultimately its down to him to get this group of players a bit more charged up as a collective unit.

Hopefully he does it soon.

It’s all you ever go on about. So yeah, you are basking in it. And you use it as your argument every time someone questions Poch or the team. It’s an achievement but not one that should be used to judge the team as it is now. And nor should it be used to discount the shambles we when been since January.

Would have been a win but for:

1) Sanchez at RB. He was our biggest attacking threat first half but wasn't because he isn't. The space he had would have been priceless with an Aurier or KWP. Then he couldn't get back either. Basically a centre back playing right midfield.

2) Eriksen

3) Bad subs. Sorting 1 and 2 (above) out should have been first priority. I'd have put Sissoko for Sanchez and Lamela for Eriksen.

Yes but the inverse of that is that we showed incredible mental strength to paper over those cracks.

Were ANY of us expecting to make a CL final?

But that measure it is TANGIBLE success.

If you can't celebrate it then you're just not really a supportwr. You're an expecter. Which is fine but not actually that realistic. So I Just get a bit bored by people misering over unrealistic expectations rather than celebrating tangible and real improvements ie: MAKING A FUCKING CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL.

When we get dumped out of the CL group and are 6th at Xmas you can go at with glee. But right now I still like to think I'd prefer to support the club and manager and team. cheers.
Mate, don't get me wrong, getting to the final provided me with some of my best footballing times ever but...as a fan, I'm hoping were going to win every competition we enter. Not expecting but hoping.

But getting to any final can not hide the fact that theres something dodgy going on at Spurs. I don't know what but something's not right.

Look, I'm as worried as anyone about our ability to maintain -- or retain - the levels we showed 2016-2018 but if you just read that sentence above and don't see the utter, stupefying, unearned, unrealistic and horrifically arrogant message it sends, then there's really no hope.

Making a CL final is an ncredible achievement.

Losing a CL final is hardly a dishnour.

It's about maintaining a level that gives you a chance to make the next one that's important.

But pretending like meant nothing?

No wonder our support are so sullen and shit these days. Shudder...

GLC & Sess being out is so frustrating because we are seeing the same poor performances from Dele & Eriksen in certain games

I don’t think it helps with so many of our players being unsettled. Not just Eriksen and Toby. I know they weren’t even in Greece tonight, but no one can tell me that it’s ideal to have players either wanting to leave or being told to find another club, only to still be there as part of the squad.

Then you have the Verts situation. Are the club not wanting to give him a contract at his age? Is that at odds with what Poch wants? Or does Poch think Verts is coasting hence being dropped. And then the whole odd RB situation.

A lot of questions behind the scenes with no obvious answers.

Who's pretending like it wasn't an achievement?
I think we may be missing one and others points.

Yeah, nah. This isn't an accurate or honest portrayal of my statements.

But yes I definitely celebrated making a CL final. Just as I celebrated our cementing of ourselves as a constant CL qualifier and contender.

When this changes I'll reassess.

It hasn't yet changed.

Until it does I will celebrate that moment Moura's goal sent us to a level we've never experienced.

That okay with you? Or do you insist that all Spurs fans have to always be fucking moaning about everything?

Dont' you ever get tired of that?

you watched the first one?

Yes.

I’ll answer your question seriously now.

I’ve enjoyed watching the clubs development over the past 15 years from Jol to Redknapp and Poch. We have played great football, been entertaining and been lucky to witness some great players.

Poch in particular has been great. But I won’t let his past success or a champions league final cloud my judgement that we have been poor for a long time, the football is turgid and shows no sign of improvement.

Didn't Poch say last season we were much further ahead of schedule than expected with 'the project'? I think where we are now is reality catching up with the fans. For various reasons we were never going to do what Liverpool did after they lost to Real Madrid. Delusional.

We are where we are, plenty to look forward to just need to adjust expectations methinks.

Touch of irony considering you seem to spend half your time on here moaning about other spurs fans
