Someone tell me the best strategy here as I've got it wrong every time.
When you try to log in if it allows you straight into the ticket site to browse around then your not in the queue, you need to keep logging out and logging in until you get the in the queue page as shown in the ES article, always helps to clear the cache and cookies in your browser each time.

Out of interest just had a look at the queue , its over 17,000 for todays sale , just wonder how many of those are people using multiple browsers.
Not buying a ticket so logged out so as not to take up a position in the queue, good luck to anyone waiting to buy

I find it all depends on the games that are going on sale.

Yesterday, I started checking the queue at 9am, there was 50 people so I was straight into the website; thats knocked that browser out (I'd be in and it'd probabaly time out around 9:30 and chuck me to the back of the queue)

I kept checked every 3/4 mins using different browsers and eventually was satisfied with my queue position at around 09:14 from memory. Left it alone. The queue 'froze' a short while later meaning no one was getting into the site at all until it hit 10am and I was straight in.
Not an issue grabbing a West Ham ticket this morning using my usual method.

Managed to time it perfectly that it came up "you're next" waiting for my other browsers to say "queue paused", then clicked 'yes please' or 'take me there' or whatever it says. Paused.

Straight in at 10am, logged out a 10:01

Failed again for Newcastle. Assume it'll be easy enough on exchange.

I tried a bit of your stuff today with some partial success( singles only), although there were over 14k ahead of me at 9.15am so far from definite that I would get anything. I couldn't quite work out your earlier message about 50 people at 9am and being timed out. How does the timing out work then?

Does anyone know if they sell more tickets today than they do yesterday? How many tickets are released in each window?

Currently 7k in queue after being unsuccessful yesterday.

Looks like this mornings queue already started , over 11,000 at 9:05
blimey. got on just before half past and i'm 13,508th.

assuming Newcastle's a long shot being that far back in the queue and my reluctance to spend an hour refreshing the page to see if any payments fail and a ticket comes available

If you are just looking for a single you might have a chance but it's doubtful , probably got more chance when they go on the exchange.
I'm not after a ticket myself just curious to how many in the queue, I almost gave up my ST with all the doom and gloom last season thinking I would just go to the odd match , glad I didn't now as the demand is enormous.
Levy promised a review on ticket prices at the fan forum, he's probably thinking with this demand for tickets we can put them up again :)

We managed to get 3 singles, not together, yesterday. Went on to try to get a single for my mate today. Was around 6500 ahead of me . Got in at 10.20. fairly confident but couldn't get any of the few remaining singles to stick in my basket

Think I read somewhere on the Spurs site sometime ago that the ticket allocation each day was based on the percentage of Hotspur + to standard Hotspur members , when they used to publish the loyalty points table there were appox. 150,000 members , a large proportion of that Hotspur + , so if it is done in proportion there should have been more on offer yesterday.
One day we might get clarity and openess on exactly how many tickets are available for members, something for the FAB to ask.

Yes, it would be interesting to know although won't change the lottery of it all. I mean surely anyone who has any intention of going to even one game a season must be a Hotspur + member and will take advantage of the double opportunity. My main issue is with the total random nature of how the website and queue system works. It seems unfathomable.

It's slightly better than the old days of the donut , the system is run by Ticketmaster on behalf of the club and there are various stories about the site crashing or being thrown out etc. not just for Spurs ticket sales.
Seems to me the queue is opened up sometime around 9am , when I used to try getting a ticket for a relative who was a member on his account I just kept refreshing the browser until it showed the donut that indicated you were in the queue, that was before the days of the queue position number that you now get , he now has a ST so no more days of scrambling to get a seat for him.

If you’re after singles then I assume no one will have problems for virtually any game from ticket exchange. It’s getting a pair which is trickier but we’ve managed every time so far.

Nothing has come up on exchange for the Villa game yet ( whenever I have looked)

I only managed to get a pair of tickets for the Sheffield United match, on the night before the game.

I think several tickets come on the exchange late due to season ticket holders being unable to make the match.
