Presuming daws stays and plays would he be captain still ? I know he will be club captain if he stays at the club but if he isn't selected (I believe he will not be in pochs plans) who is going to be our captain ?

Agreed, Lloris has performed brilliantly during some of our terrible performances, most notably West Ham away. He leads by example.If not him then Verts.

If someone without the armband can't help lead than why would they be better with it?

The armband itself seems much more symbolic to me rather than actually defining who can and can't lead etc.

Probably needs to be a player who will feature regularly. For this season, hard to imagine anyone other than Vertonghen or Lloris as captain.
