So many AM's!!!!

Chadli, Eriksen, Son, Njie, Dembele, Pritchard and it looks like we're going to be stuck with Lamela and Townsend unless something drastic happens.

I really wish we could find a loan for Lamela to a mid-lower tier side that would hopefully guarantee some play time. If he fails, he fails, but if he succeeds we might get the player we thought we were buying back or simply sell him when his value would be higher.

I'm sure we will hear a whole bunch of shit about Adebayor and Lennon tomorrow. And I'm sure most of it will be just that, shit. It's not that I have no faith in Levy selling them, I just don't see them actually making that final jump from the nest (and easy paycheck).

I still believe a Striker and DM will come in. And I'm sure if they do they will satisfy us given we aren't just buying players to make the numbers anymore. If they don't, it will initially suck of course but at least we won't be buying players like Stambouli or Fazio; players with no apparent long term value.

Poch will have to make it up with Adebayor, no way can we go the whole season with just Kane upfront. Can't believe we didn't have a deal lined up after selling Soldado.

I don't think it will be seen as Kane upfront. N'Jie can play as a striker and I believe Coulhirst is back or am I wrong?

I can see Eriksen being used in midfield more often. A bit like how Modric developed his game, beginning as an AM, before taking up a spot deeper in order to affect the game more often. Whether Poch sees Eriksen as being ready for that I don't know, but it would certainly account for the collection of AM's we've built up, given that Lamela's move to Marseille was supposedly blocked by Poch as he wasn't sure on Berahino happening and apparently sees Berahino's role as being a shadow striker/AM rather than a CF.

Eriksen doesn't have Modric's ability to beat players, ride tackles or offer any form of physical presence..

It also takes Eriksen further from goal, which is probably not a good idea when he was our third highest goalscorer last season.

Considering we play with 3, having six available is no bad thing, and considering our lack of depth in central midfield I suspect Dembele will be used there more than anywhere else this season.

We also can't be clear on Pritchard's ability to step up, and N'jie is also still relatively inexperienced.

Whilst I'd be happy to see both Lamela and Townsend go, I suspect both would get game time this season if they stayed.

Njie never played up front on his own at Lyon as far as I'm aware. And Coulthirst has never scored a goal in the Championship let alone the premier league. Poch didn't even take him on any of the pre season tours.

Son is a wide player too.
