Far too injury prone and would probably take N'Dombele's spot in the dog house within months of joining.

It's up to Conte really... I can't stand Dembele and what he stands for... but Conte is the boss. And I'm behind him 100%.

Racist, always injured, terrible attitude, a position we don't need, overpriced.

Sounds an absolutely ideal deadline day deal.
Sadly sounds like spurs and our clueless scouting/transfer department. This bloke is a total fraud. I remember watching a barca match where it got to the point i was giggling every time the ball went near him. Never seen the ball bounce off somebody so much in the same game. Doesnt even fit conte system. Isnt a forward, isnt a wingback, isnt creative. Might as well just keep alli if this is the level of desperation the club has reached.

His contract with Barca ends in 6 months
Haha thought he had 18 months left, that'll teach me. He doesn't seem to have any interest in him so maybe we could offer him some kind of initial short term deal with option to extend if certain targets are met.

I mean at his best he’s world class. But so so many injuries. And then the attitude and effort is lacking too. Wouldn’t invest say 200k a week into him. Just not dependable enough. High risk high reward, but the odds are stacked heavily against him ever being consistently great.

Here is why i think he is worth the risk
1) injury record (check out in medical if he is fine for now)
2)WC year, he needs to turn it on quick to get into that squad, biggest league in the world most exposure, good for him
3) motivation, this is it for him, His move to barca was a disaster, he was the top prospect in the world like 3-4 years ago, if he can be motivated to change his public image of being a failure at Barca he will ball for us.
4)If he can get back to that Dortmund form, we'd have a 130 mil pound player again, he was insane for em, a true bums off the seat player with his skill and goal scoring ability/so so so two footed.
5) reportedly only 18 mil. That is freaking nothing, that is cheaper than Kulu. Dembele could be an absolute game changer for us

Barcelona apparently want £18m for him, and he also wants big wages...considering he's constantly injured, out of contract in the summer and has been told he won't play for them again, would only really be worth the risk at a much lower fee.

I thought the whole astronomical wages was leaked out by Barca to get the fans to hate him to the point of him just wanting to leave?

As per Goal.com

He has not had a single campaign at Camp Nou in which no ailments were endured, with 102 games sat out across four-and-a-half years.

Not as against it as others in this thread tbh.

Even this season when he played for Barca he was superb. I’m pretty sick of us signing players who are solid but not spectacular - Dembele would be a massive risk with the injuries etc but if you could even get him to 80% of his previous level he’d be a guaranteed starter and match winner.

I still haven’t forgiven him for missing an easy chance in their first leg semi final against Liverpool that would have put them 4/5 up. It came back to haunt them and eventually us.

I did wonder whether there would be any links to him with the contract situation and Barca basically saying off you go.

Cost them a lot of money. Would be expensive on wages but has talent and baggage.

He will go somewhere

The last thing we need are more players with the wrong / poor attitudes.
It’s massively important that we are bringing in the exact opposite and players with good attitudes and mentalities is what is needed.
