Not sure I'd call it poor. A poor signing is signing Doherty.

It's highly risky for a club like us, but if it worked out he's elite.
If it doesn't work out there's the issue of having another player contributing to negativity in the squad. Our squad is mentally weak as is. Were that not the case, then okay, take the risk.

Would feel pretty uneasy watching this guy line up in a front 3 with Asia's best player. Add to it his injury history, the cost of employing him, and that he's not exactly left his previous clubs under the best terms...I'd rather we shopped elsewhere. So hopefully someone else comes in and saves us from wasting our time.

No idea, just seen a part exchange deal mentioned?
Yeah it's not happening now.
We should be all over this IF some sort of deal that takes his injury record into account occurs. Loan of sorts.

He'd walk into our starting XI, would be interesting though with the new recruit in Kulu.

It's weird, because he didn't have this at Dortmund (iirc)

Injuries are weird, in that some clubs treatment rooms benefit players differently. Look at Bale for us, he came back and was fine (over a short period of course)

I reference RVP at United normally, he was a crock at Arsenal.

Another would be GLC - only injured AT us.

I don’t think he is worth the risk. Massive talent yes, but awful attitude along with injury record! Also he is on £400k a week really can’t see it happening.
Reckon he will be happy just to sit the remainder of the season out at Barca collecting his massive pay check and then look for a free move in the summer to PSG or one of the Milan clubs or potentially Arsenal or Chelsea. Can’t see Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd being that interested in him. Maybe potentially Bayern would be Another option for him.

Can’t see him going to Newcastle unless they offered to match his £400k a week which they could obviously do but think it would be unlikely they would.

A six month loan and no obligations would be best I think.. ability to come on and turn games would be very useful
