It's a shame this one's died down a bit. I know he's not Higuain or Benzema et al but I really do believe that us and Osvaldo are a very very good fit.

I think alot depends on Jevotic and wher he ends up. If he signs for Juve, then that leaves a clear path for us to sign Osvaldo, other Clubs could come in of course.

Roma have no European competition next season which may play some part in their transfer dealings. Speaks volumes about Baldini that they have secured alongside Osvaldo, Pjanic, Lamela, Marquinhos amongst others during his tenure, even though he didn't officially start working there until around 2012. Would happily take any of those players.

Imagine an attacking midfield trio of Lamela, Pjanic and Bale... (With Osvaldo up front, just to stay on topic, but too be honest I'm not too sure if I want him)

Lamela and Osvaldo would do for me. I know everyone loves Bale coming in from the right, but if there is the fabled 'front 3' then fluidity is paramount, and therefore Bale, Lamela and whoever else could flit around, would be absolute mayhem. Osvaldo strolling about scoring too would be nice. Would be stockpiling left footed players who like cutting in though.

Might be obligatory yank bias, but Bradley would be a huge upgrade over Parker.

Roma forward Pablo Osvaldo, 27, has been dropped from the Italian national team for the Confederations Cup after insulting his club coach, Aurelio Andreazzoli, on Twitter.

This is from BBC Gossip. Might mean he is out of Roma if big fall out b/n him & coach

Supposedly swore at manager when subbed off in final. Then refused to go to Award ceremony which meant was removed from squad. Manager has been slating him since saying he spends his time in private crying and moaning but has this public attitude.

Seems a good goal scorer but a massive amount of baggage

I'm so onboard with signing this guy. Ok so his attitude stinks, but he's got an entire arm dedicated to The Wall! If we signed Osvaldo I would finally feel comfortable changing my picture from Berba.

He likes tattoos and Pink Floyd? I'm sold. Sign him up now!

Osvaldo has a big temper and is quite the ego. However, he is a good striker, scores all types of goals. I don't think he'd set the world alight but he takes his chances and would comfortably get us 15 - 20 EPL goals I think. I rate him more than Defoe and Adebayor and is probably the best we're going to get considering a true top quality centre forward will be out of our price range.

Agree, this is the key bit here really, anyone in the 20+ PL goals per season bracket that fits our age policy just isn't coming in at less than £20m IMO.

I can't see Levy giving us that much, so we'll have to do with players like Osvaldo who have the potential to get that high a goal return.

That's pretty much it. Unless we unearth a Michu or a Benteke, but that's just a big mixture of risk and luck.

Would love this guy, think he would be great for us and quickly become a fan favourite. His versatility and aggression suits the Premiership nicely and I'd be confident of him getting 15+ league goals.

Nevermind Osvaldo. Can we sign Roberta?

Reminds me of a thought I've had.
Female footballers isn't as priviliged as the men, not as much money in their game,
and they will obviously go where the money is.
Could be a good idea to look for a female player that want to work in media, is attractive, while also being a top footballer.
Offer Spurs TV job combined with a player contract for the Spurs ladies, make her a poster person for the club and the ladies.
Used to think that it could be a way for us to sign Heather Mitts or someone like her back then.
But then again I'd like for Spurs to give some backing to the ladies game,
and is a bit ashamed that we allow Arsenal to dominate ladies football.
City is putting focus on theirs, but guess they got the luxuary to do so.

The more trouble he is in at Roma, the more his market value plummets.

If we get him for around £10m, he'll be a damn good signing. Not a true world class player, but a good upgrade on what we have. More rounded skill set than Defoe, and more consistent than Adebayor.

"There is a contact between Atletico Madrid and Osvaldo's entourage to bring the Roma's player in Madrid to replace Falcao"

Would clear the competition on Leandro though if true, with rumours Athletico are also interesting in him

Think I'd rather Osvaldo
