They are letting him go because he upset Totti by taking his penalty. Every player who has upset Totti has then been sold asap. Totti rules in Rome. That's all there is to it.

I just don't buy it. Granted he undoubtedly will have upset Totti, but that wasn't the sole reason he was sold. He is rumoured to have argued with Lamela, Fun Time Frankie, Totti, etc. The guy is clearly a bad egg.

It the reason reported in Italy, it was said as soon as it happened.

The fact that every player who has upset Totti has had to leave the next window should tell you all you need to know. You have to realise Totti is god in Rome, despite having his best days behind him.

Some players don't like that and why you then had a divided dressing room as they took sides. Arguments are of course then going to happen. You could argue that Totti is the troublemaker and not Osvaldo.

I doubt that he is a bad egg at all and I'm sure he'll prove it at Southampton.
