Yep, the players not in the regular 11 need to start performing when they are given chances.
No match fitness and second string team with no gel, it's not just a case of going in and dominating. This regularly shows in league cup against lower league sides. Stevie always seemed to get a run out with the most geled side even when playing rather shit, can't see why Bale snd Dele won't get time tbh

Not fair to compare them to son and kane who are the form players in world football

It is very fair to compare them in terms of effort and intensity, and it was in those that levels went up after the subs the other night.

This is just the kind of game we’d come unstuck in, in the past. So for me any kind of win would be progress! A horrible 1-0 with w deflected shot off Harry’s back would be awesome!

LoCelso is unlucky, but then again he ran himself into the ground on Thursday so probably knew the score. Pretty sure he'll come off the bench at some point though.

I have a feeling that one of our players are going to get their first goal of the season today. We need a few more players chipping in with goals.

When I lost my dad five and a half years ago I found places like this and the distraction of camaraderie they offered to be a godsend. They were somewhere to just lose myself for a little while. Football was always something we’d shared, though he was a Forest fan and, I found out later, had turned down a professional contract at Villa in the sixties. I still check Forrest results every week and was really sad they didn’t make it back up last season. The soft spot only grew softer as the time between his death and now lengthened.

I am so very sorry for your loss, and hope the match gives you somewhere to escape the grief for a few hours. Be kind to yourself.
Well said about camaderie.
Thanks.
Much appreciated

Firstly, Ackie, really sorry for your loss.

I’m not overly surprised Gio doesn’t start today, he’s played a lot of football this week. I think him coming into form and being on the bench will get the best out of our midfielders. Actually think Ndombele has had a couple of under par games recently and think he will step up big time today.

Good to see Dele on the bench, maybe he really made a good impression and reacted well to not playing on thursday and he loves a good goal v. palace.

I wanted to see Lo Celso in for Bergwijn, personally. I know he's doing a tactical job for us but I think Bergwijn is the only player that could be replaced in this lineup right now.
He wouldn't be comfortable out wide, but that being said I agree that Bergwijn, while good, could be replaced.

What's this mystery illness going through the squad? We've had a few now...
