He reminds me of a Brazilian Jermain Jenas.

I hope we sell him if 20 million is on the table.

Agree totally. Seemed to be a luxury purchase from the Bale cash. Didn't really need him but was starring well for Brazil and was a 'biggish' name.

Think we wouldn't notice him gone if he did go, a purchase of schneiderlin in replacement for around the same coin would be a step forward.

Agree with this. He will suit the Italian league much better.

I doubt he fits Antonio Conte's system though. It's predicated all around work rate and while I don't think Paulinho is as bad as many around here suggest, I wouldn't say his effort level is one of his strong suits.

I'd suggest theres no truth in Juventus wanting Paulinho at all.

If we get 20 mil I would sell but I see him as a good potential box to box man who can get us 10-12 goals next season... We have alot of games and need a big squad... Poch can improve him and possibly sell him on next summer for a better price...

I think he needs to improve in his defensive pressing, offensive running off the ball and finishing. His passing is OK, he has a good physique and engine..

Am I the only one who thinks that Paulinho looks and plays like a can't be arsed version of Carlton Palmer? Seriously if Juve offer 20m we should reject it and tell them we can have him for free. It would be the gentlemanly thing to do the guy is hilariously shit.

Didn't he go back home crying to his wife about giving up football after failing to make it in the Polish second division? Apparently his wife had to remind him he might have a pair of balls somewhere so he stayed in football stinking the game out with his shit performances but give the guy some credit at least he let his wife bully him into providing for his family when he wanted to chicken out of even that? Great guy, good buy THFC! Jesus wept!

What's the point in having a forum if you're gonna sit on the fence

Heard earlier on the radio that Juve want Perreya from Udi if Vidal or Pogba go, be suprised if they went for Paulinho

Of all last season's signings that "failed" he was by miles the best.

So, Paulinho, Soldado, Lamela, Capoue.
Whatever the reason, form, language, fitness, out of those he was the best for us last season.
Yet I'd bet all those saying he should be sold would all happily keep the others and continue to find excuses for them.

You'll all no doubt also be saying things such as:
Pochettino can get a x player playing well
With a full season and pre season under their belts they'll be better

I just don't understand how some people* can be so hypocritical.

*pointing to no-one in particular.

He was better than Chadli and Chiriches as well. So basically he wasn't better than Eriksen.

capoue and lamela barely played so they're out of this particular discussion. that leaves you with soldado who was equally as bad as paulinho but i give him credit for at least showing an ounce of effort and desire to win.

Not playing isn't a good thing

I think the best thing we can do with Paulinho at this is point is cut our losses and fly the little chap to Switzerland and have him swiftly and painlessly euthanized.

It's the right thing to do.

extenuating circumstances.

not playing at least leaves hope for the future, playing and playing so poorly does not. it's not even about last season really, it's about talent. lamela is the most talented. eriksen a close 2nd. vlad 3rd. soldado 4th. capoue probably 5th. chadli 6th and paulinho last.

I would rather see Dembele leave; it was Paulinho's first season in the Premiership, a very unsettling season too with managerial changes and the change in system each manager or coach had. He's pretty much played non-stop football for two years now, with the confederations cup and then the World Cup during the summer when he should be resting.

Not me,I would sell Soldado,Capoue and Paulinho in a heartbeat.
Lamela really hasn't had a chance but we should know by January if he is worth keeping or not.
