Would rather Icardi from Inter, who is apparently available for the same money.

Him and Kane would be the best strike force bar none.

He is one of the biggest ****s in world football. Does nothing aside from finish either, rather have somebody that contributes more to play.

Not that we're in for him, but wouldn't want him at all.

He scored a whopping 6 non penalty goals last season and he's a complete nutter (along with his wife), no thanks!

See the press reporting he's asked for 350 k wages at Utd ! The surreal suggestion that he'd ever come to us has come from where I wonder ? and what advantage has been gained from this planted rumour and by whom ?
I'm not sure him to us is really thing, but any big player going to United is going to ask for this kind of money because of Sanchez.

Once again, Manchester United take another huge step forward to completely fudging the market and wage expectations of every other player in the Premier League for yet another summer.

Boasting about how much more they were paying Wan-Bissaka was embarrassing.

Yeah smacks of his brother sensing a big pay day. Especially as the player is supposedly keen to stay. Tallies with the £350k demand and surely rules us out.

Where have you guys seen this? The only report I’ve seen is that he would ask for £170k/week.

Is the tax on wages that high that it puts it near that number?

His missus is also an absolute psycho too. She's one of the reasons Inter want rid.

Yes, a PL footballer will pay tax and NI (includes national health service) of 46% on the majority of their earnings.

After all this I reckon he'll sign a new contract with Juve.

It's getting to point where that'd be acceptable over him going to United for Lukaku, must admit them splitting into individual deals is making me feel better.

They may pay full tax & NI on some of their WAGES, but more likely to split between salary and image rights to minimise tax.
Very simplified explanation - if they earn £200k per week:
Half will be fully taxed at ~46% (£46k tax) .
For the other half they'll set up a non domiciled company in BVA (to avoid VAT) to invoice half of their "wages" as image rights. That company then provides a directors loan to the player on which they would pay tax only on the taxable benefit/deemed interest element (I. E. £100k per week loan, deemed interest at 1.5% = £15K @ 46% = ~£7K TAX)........ The total tax would be £46k + £7k = £53k........giving an underlying tax rate of 26%.

Hope that makes sense? It also explains why players are so lean to call their salary image rights, when most of the time their image is pretty much worthless.

Yep makes sense, plus the bigger the name the more you can value the image rights. In which case it does make these reports of £350k a bit unfair, it could be more along the lines of £250k actually paid out to get the player his £170k net.

you know what would be a great landing spot for Dybala - Real Madrid.

They need something special. He’s available at reasonable price. Salary shouldn’t be an issue.

Oh, that would mean RM wouldn’t have any use for Eriksen? Nice side effect.

Now off to try to Jedi mind trick Perez.

Dybala’s ultimate goal would be to leave for one of the big Spanish two in Barcelona and Real Madrid, but Tottenham Hotspur do hold some appeal due to their recent Champions League progress under fellow Argentine Mauricio Pochettino

Interesting little excerpt from the Delaney piece in The Independent which seems to be sourced from Dybala's people. If only we had the dough.

As all of us know trying to negotiate wages in our own lives, companies don't have money for some things but seemingly do for others.

That polish journalist which I mentioned here, said today that Dybala's agent is in Manchester and he think he will leave.

While true, it seems to be quite rampant in Italy and not only that but their FA seems slow to condemn it and the Italian national captain was quick to put blame on the player for inciting fans after scoring.
“Rampant” is highly subjective. All I know is that, as a black man living in England, I come up against instances of racism on a daily basis, so moving to Italy, Spain or anywhere else wouldn’t make that much of a difference in that regard.

And let’s not forget that the English national captain was actually found guilty of racial abuse

That is very sad. I live in the States and it's becoming very uneasy.

But, what I meant was there seems to be little condemnation from the Italian F.A./league/teams I may be wrong as an outsider looking in, but that's the impression I get.

The chavs recently banded 3 (?) Supports for their abuse of Sterling, have any Italian teams done the same?

I take your point, but I just don’t see the relevance. Racism is racism as far as I am concerned, so A being more or less racist than B is neither here nor there.
