Far from convinced apparently....

I don't think we've got a chance in all honesty. It's pretty clear he doesn't want to leave and he may view anything other than Madrid/Barca as a step down.

Bellend- if he was that level, he’d be there by now

I know, but I suppose that’s the difference between having a cast off like Lukaku ( who is overrated, but still a good striker) and a cast off like GKN who no fucker wants :(.

It’s exactly right. What I notice with clubs like united and Chelsea is big money players are often still worth big money when they get to be sold on, so you really only lose what you pay them in salary. So for example Lukaku is signed for 80 odd million, he’s still worth that a few years later and other clubs like Juventus are interested and it presents better opportunities to deal later. Unfortunately we don't have expensive squad players we can trade on, which does kind of limit us when it comes to rebuilding.

What we do though is gamble on cheap foreign players and when they flop we can’t get rid of them, or have to sell for peanuts.

I guess money makes money as they say.

I just don't think he wants United. Can you imagine having to swap playing next to Ronaldo, Bernardeschi and Manduzkic at Juventus to playing next to Rashford, James and Lingard at United.

If he’s been pushed to sign for a club he’s not interested in then the only thing that will convince him to join will be absurd wages. Whereas if he’s interested in joining a certain club he may be more realistic with his wage demands.

....and being coached by Solskjaer
....and getting booted in the face by Phil Jones in training

In all seriousness it would depend on the project they are selling. If they are saying Pogba is staying, Fernandes and Maguire are coming he make think they are building something to win titles and play CL again. Then they could put 300k p/week in front of him too.

But yeah, it wouldn't be too appealing for him.

Judging by those twitter things - i bet if we had the cash and bid and got accepted and could afford his wages - he would say yes to us.

Manure arent who they were... long way from that

Players arent necessarily giving a damn about what the club won five years ago, they care about the here and now... and money ofcourse

Only Barca and RM have that clout but RM are treading on thin ground and another year or two and they can also dwindle

Anyways - get Dybala

I don't think he will have a choice, Juve seem to want him out. The only way I can see him coming here is if Eriksen ends up there in a swap.

I think United and Madrid will always have that clout, their name resonates. I'm just not sure he's prepared to leave a title-winning team who will have aspirations of winning the CL next season for the EL.

Whilst we have done incredible he may not see us as a team as winning the title or the CL. In a lot of respects it's like City when they bought Aguero, except Aguero hadn't had the titles yet so he was prepared to go to a club with ambition (and who could pay him well too). If Dybala was coming from an Atletico/Dortmund then I think we'd be well in with a shout but will he believe that we can win stuff?

If he does decide to join United though then discard what I've said and it'd have to be down to money.

Do Manure have that clout though? The club is in a right mess... and still is although i do think theyre trying to change in how they deal with transfers i.e. Maguire and sticking to their guns although we all know what will happen at the end.

It will be interesting this transfer but think Dybala would go there for the cash which I dont blame him for as 350k is a tonne load of money

Are players hungry for success when the go to UTD now a days? They throw around wages like confetti. What’s the point of busting a gut for few games when you still get 500k a week.
