Well Inter are raising their bid for Lukaku. now if Juve are really keen on him they will need to act fast.

How can they do that? By making sure this deal goes through and goes through fast.

This image rights can't prevent Dybala from ever leaving Juve so someone will have to make a push

If he won’t accept less then he can do one. He obviously feels we should be privileged to have him.

If we were miles apart on wages etc then yesterday's and today's meetings would have been over and done with almost as soon as they began - so I'm not buying the story that he's demanding extortionate money. If talks have been ongoing throughout the day, that suggests there is at least some belief that an agreement can be reached.

On the topic of image rights. Didnt Zlatan have an issue with his image rights at united which meant he couldnt do United stuff unless there was 4 united players in the images.

Let’s be honest, if Man Utd couldn’t reach an agreement with him and his various agents and business associates then it’s hardly surprising if we can’t.

I know we’re clinging to the idea that he simply rejected Utd out of hand, but I think that’s a little bit of wishful thinking on our part. Utd are still a massive football club despite slipping from where they used to be.

Would love it to happen as he has a genuine touch of class and flair about him, but I simply can’t see it.

Expect to hear the immortal words “it’s complicated” at some point from our ITK’s in the next 24 hours.
Its obviously complicated. Personally, I don't think this is the end though. Theres clearly an element of desire on both sides and this could go back and forth for hours yet.

Unlikely...not dead.

No surprise the two really exciting links to Dybala and Coutinho are the ones that have seemingly gone tits up.

Oh well, on to the other two.

I still maintain it will be one of GLC and Fernandes with Eriksen departing. And then Sess last knockings before tomorrow’s deadline.

I hope the club realise that a player who has won 9 trophies is worthy of being paid the same, if not more, than Harry Kane. He is as big of a name in terms of World football, and having a proven winner (something we deeply lack) is what we need to turn these nearly-days into winning-days. We need to grow out of this ‘buying youngsters with potential’ Mindset and get involved with the big boys. This should be the first step.

I absolute agree! I have said so many times (in sweden) we need to buy players that have won something because they know what it takes to win

Also, would be interesting to know which one of Kane and Dybala that is the biggest brand ?

I think we've got him, it just feels right. Poch gets backed, Dybala gets out of a club he's no longer wanted, Juve need the cash, Levy gets his marquee signing.

I suspect they'll pay off the 3rd party eventually, it's all about how much the bribe *cough* negotiation comes out as. PD in the Premier League, his image rights are worth a fair whack

With the way the premier league is marketed, and the fact that he was top scorer at a World Cup for England, I think Kane probably edges it on branding, despite his lack of tattoos, lines in his hair and neon pink football boots.

As for the argument about winning major trophies... put me in the Juve side for the past half decade an I’ll win 9 major trophies too. I don’t say this to denigrate either Dybala or Serie A, bit it really has become a one horse race, just at a high overall level than SPL or Ligue 1.

Not over until it's over mate. Haven't seen any top sources saying we've failed to agree terms.

Dybala has over 3 times the instagram followers that Kane does.

Can’t see this happening now, not enough noise of it progressing unfortunately
are we literally down to measuring noise in hours and minutes?

regardless, if we get lo celso and Bruno then this deal is clearly off.

Well shows how much I know.

In fairness, I’m square as fuck.

I’d still argue that instagrams demographic is unlikely to be a huge percentage of the worldwide football fanbase, I.e. adults with jobs and money to pay for tv subscriptions and season tickets.

But that’s mainly because I’m an obstinate **** who fucks dogs according to @King of Otters
