Making himself available in jan if juve dont play him, surely we are aware of that. Just hoping psg dont come in.

I can't see PSG being much of a draw for him in footballing terms. They are the ultimate 'next shiny thing' club who piss their League every season but fall apart in the CL. Maybe wishful thinking but I'd hope that Poch and our huge Argentinian connection would be a lot more mouth-watering and the prospect of playing in the League which produced all of the European finalists last season.

I wouldn't be surpised at all if he stays with Juventus for another season. Outside of the top two in Spain, no other clubs are as competitive as Juv in the CL year on year. We were a very interesting proposition to him. New stadium, Top manager from his home country, CL newbie starting to turn into a global name. I could definitely see us staying in touch and looking at a deal again in the future.

In the meantime, I'm pleased Moura & Parrott are now more likely to get game time this season. I feel Moura could explode into someone very special if he is at top confidence. Parrott I'm going on the youth threads, but a year of PL experience i can see him being very capable!

I don’t disagree, but how many good seasons do you have as a top footballer? 10?

Would you be prepared to throw away half a season on the the hope that a team would come back in for you?

It would be a risk for him

It's fairly obvious we would look to come back in for him if there was a similar deal to be done. I think the only case we wouldn't would be if Parrott starts banging them in and Eriksen signs a new contract.

Neymar wasted his time at PSG and Dybala should reaally be taking a look at that. At Spurs he'd have a handful of International team mates to play alongside as well as Poch managing him and he'd be up the top end of the best League in the World if you really want to challenge yourself. I'm not saying any of that would swing it in our favour when the cash starts being flung about, but I think he'll be giving us some serious consideration.

Have we got the most south American players in the league now, Moura, Lamela, Foyth, Davinson, LO Celso, Gazzanigga ?

The only hope is that he wants to join us so bad (which it seems like he does) that he either digs his heels in and refuses to go elsewhere or we can pinky swear with Juve to buy him in January. But judging by reports that he wasn't happy that move didn't go through and him liking Lo Celso's first Instagram post at Tottenham, I think this still has legs if Juve don't sell him in August.

I don't know if the image rights thing is actually "complicated" or if the rights owners just want loads of money to release him. If it's the latter there might never be a viable solution.

I think if he wanted to come to us in January he would have been told by levy whether that is viable

I hate to shit on the parade as I would love nothing more than seeing Dybala in a Spurs shirt, but I think this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that has now gone. I don't think he desperately wanted Spurs, probably far from it. We are told he was furious that the deal fell through, but actually the only story we got suggested he was just furious at the position Juventus put him in. His status went from his clearly wanting to stay at Juventus, to basically being pushed out of the door. Clearly when United came in he was still hoping to fight for a place at Juventus and obviously asked for massive wages to consider joining a club not currently in the CL. When that deal fell through it seems Juventus put a lot more pressure on him and Spurs became an acceptable outcome in what was an otherwise unacceptable postion for the player. This is Dybala FFS - he is not pining for Spurs, it is absolutely amazing that we were at that moment in time an acceptable option to him (no doubt a big part due to Poch and Juventus massively subsidising the deal), but let's keep our feet on the ground, it doesn't mean we are his dream move in any way, shape or form. Add to this, the image rights is seemingly only an issue if he moves to the UK where the law forces a resolution to this dispute before the player can move, whereas a move elsewhere looks like it can just happen and the whole image rights question can be sorted in its own time. I am heartbroken to have missed out on what would have been a game changer, but I fear this is now a lost cause...

Nope. Timeline doesn't work for that to be the case.

How so? From the reports we changed from buying to loan to buy in the last week around the same time the psg had said they where interested in dybala if neymar goes? That why juventus pulled the plug as the time pressure was now off as we weren't the only one interested.

If he's still at Juve at the end of the European Transfer window and doesn't seem to be getting any game time I would be tentatively excited about a potential January deal. We didn't move for anyone else and we don't seem to be going back for Llorente so the number 9 space is still available!
