yeesh, everyone will miss sitters, difference is some strikers will nevertheless cause trouble to defenses and create chances. oh, and score a goal :)

Well done Crouchie, he played well and made a good impact.

played fantastic today and turned the game
unmarkable when you get accurate passes to him in the air like the one hudd put from the free kick for the goal , impossible angle yet he somehow found the bottom corner

well done crouchy

Yes, very well played both in the air and on the floor. Anyone else sitting in the North/East corner think his header was over the line? It matters not one bit but I thought it looked over.

It didn't really look like it on the telly. The defender was behind the line but stuck his head forward. And the whole ball has to be over the line, so probably the right call.

From the stream I watched it looked like it did not go over in fact Stevie did well to push his neck and head out to make sure but I guess Motd will confirm btw coyboy as someone at the game did you not find it wrong that Stevie was given a rough job by the fans after all what a servant he was best rb of his time inmho

I'd say he's earned a start next game. Even if we don't have injuries I'd start him.
What sitters did he miss?

Fair enough. With Carr, I am pretty apathetic. I wasn't that bothered to see him go as he was past his best and then felt a bit sorry for him retiring and whatnot. I am glad he has resurrected his career but at the end of they day he left us ostensibly for a 'bigger club' and after starting out as a modest player and developing into the best right back in the country, he seemed to become a bit big headed and grouchy.

I didn't see the need to boo or cheer him. It wasn't unanimous anyway just a Park Lane thing I think.

If that's deadwood can we have some more? Great option. Competent footballer, ridiculous in the air - won everything today.

I think he's more than a competent footballer. He has very good ball control skills and i believe he would really prefer us to pass ball to feet.

Scored 2 goals out of the five we've played so far so he's doing fine. I also think Harry's taken the new-signing pressure off him by keeping him on the bench.

Still think it'll be Defoe/Crouch up front for most of the season.

Dan Ashcroft loftily pronounced him 'deadwood' the other day. But then, our Dan thinks Ramos is a 'world-class' manager.

Well, a lot of people thought he'd probably be so successful with us that Real Madrid would snap him up sooner or later and he'd go on to great things there.

Things sort of went that way, didn't they? Ish?
