4 massive mistakes from the same linesman, in order:

1) wrongly disallows Dawson goal for offside
2) Wrongly gives penalty when referee has already pointed for a corner
3) this forces Rose to be sent off
4) misses an obvious offside for Dzeko goal to make it 3-0

So when it was 3-0 both sides had scored 1 legitimate goal each and it should gave been 11 vs 11.

Officials make mistakes but this was incompetence way beyond what should be seen as reasonably acceptable, even if City were the better side, which they undoubtedly were the fact remains that 1 linesman decided the whole game.

People pay a lot of money to go to football and deserve the officiating to be at the very least a reasonable standard, this guy just didn't have a clue!

Does anyone know what match officials at PL level get paid, out of curiosity? Do they get a per match rate rather than a salary?

Completely agree. Absolutely shocking. Shouldn't get another assignment for a long time.

Not the linesman, but on the other side can also point to Fernandinho handballing on our goal. It still went in, but it was a blatant attempt at trying to save it with his hands.

City have had the refs in their pocket all season.

I missed this. Will have to check MotD.

A part of me also wonders why he was about to reach for Toure's second yellow but then decided not to.. It might not have been 2nd yellow worthy but could've happened in any other match plus jsut find it odd how was about to pull it out but kept it in his pants

Don't be ridiculous. We were outplayed. Once again capitulating when a decision does not go our way.

You lot wouldn't be out of place on RAWK.
They can spell and we hardly capitulated, scored after we had been well and truly fucked by the officials

I was thinking about this the other day and genuinely think he is pretty bad ref.. Saw im refeering one match and thought was terrible, can't remember which and then the penalty for Chelsea vs West Brom I think that was him, maybe not

When the initial shot is hit that smacks the post a City player is 3 yards out and beyond Lloris with only Walker beyond him who is on the line. When the ball comes back off of the post same player challenges Chiriches forcing the ball to Dzeko.

It's a clear and obvious offside and i can only think he doesn't know the rules and thinks as long as there's a defender in front of him he's onside, when the actual rule is 2 defending players.

Complete incompetence!

So what? Norwich pkayef Newcastle yesterday nufc had 29 shots AND hit the woodwork 3 times but norwich got a point. We were in that game at 1-0 had come right back into it towards the end of the first half and should have been 1-1. It dorsnt matter if city's play was better so it should be based on the yeam sheets by your reckoning nobody should bother playing anyone better on paper, we were cheated tonight
