how do you sugest that the new owners invest in the team. FFP kicks in next season, even if AEG have very deep pockets, which they haven't, with out a new stadium we can only invest within our means. I really wish people would understand this!!

Wouldn't they be allowed to invest in the stadium,
making it possible to allocate more of the club turnover to the sporting side of the business?

Where did you get that info from?

I'd argue a different way. There are 50 million Hispanics in the US. Plus thrown in another 30 to 50 million first or second generation immigrants from Europe, Asia, and Africa. Plus us good old fashioned white Americans. There are probably way more football fans in the US then there are in England. Sure its not the same percentage wise but in a pure numbers game....

There is a reason you see these summer tours in the US. Its a booming and relatively untapped (by Europe) market.

he built them a brand new football only stadium.

built a tennis center as well.

if levy stays around cant see how it is a bad thing at all

theyve built new football specific staduims. Signed beckham. Got about 5 soccer specific tv stations running in the US. With Aeg buisness accumen and Levy staying on would be a total success imo

Yes, and having experienced the very beginnings of MLS start-up and the WC itself out there, you US sawker-ballers are every bit as knowledgable and enthusiastic about the game (albeit with maybe one or two questionable technical terms). Even moreso than the Euro-Nuffle fans are with the NA code of football.

So, giss all your monies!

I'm sorry, but I can never, NEVER forgive the Ynaks for the night I stayed up until 4 AM (okay, I didn't stay up I was on a drinking session, et all , with my buddy) to watch an US Sock-er match. Former Sheffield Wednessday player John Jarkes was about to come on as a substitute, and one of the commentators, in a broadtrans-Atlantic accent decided to inform us:
"John Harkes - He IS the one."
I mean, what the actual FCUK - I laughed so much frothy lager came down my nose

The commentators are the worst. This Irish bloke Tommy Smythe I shut the tv off when he comes on. I was glad espn lost the champions league rights to fox as I didnt have to listen to him sprout bollocks anymore. He seems to have reappeared in studio for espn during euro 2012 however.
