What better job do you think he could realistically get? Considering he's had one 6 month spell as a manager at any level. No top half PL team would go for him, so an established PL team, albeit one who regularly fight relegation such as West Brom is about as good as he could hope for with his managerial experience.
A club that doesn't have a prick for a chairman

Do you think he stopped playing Bentaleb last season because he didn't rate him or because he lost his bottle ?

don't think it was either of those, just seemed like he was taking him out of the firing line after overplaying him, his performances were regressing but it was a bit weird how he stopped playing him entirely. as i said i thought tim lost the plot for the final couple of months of the season, whether he just cracked or because it was made clear to him he wouldn't be getting the job permanently i don't know. i thought he showed to be really versatile in his approach to games early on, everyone laughs and says here we go, 4-4-tim but there were games like newcastle away where he really shut it down and crowded the midfield and swansea away when he matched them up and we cruised it. he also knows how to get his team scoring goals, yes it was at the expense of conceding a lot of the time but i think there's times when that's the way to go, we actually won a few games comfortably under him, under poch we've only won once so far by more than a goal.

i like a lot of his views on football, especially when it comes to bringing through youngsters so i hope he gets a job somewhere.

Yep I think Sherwood should wait until the Real Madrid job becomes available.
He wouldn't be the first Spurs manager Levy sacked who got the RM job!

Tim dropped Bentaleb because he lost form. He was a kid coming from the academy and playing in high intesity games. Bentaleb has nothing but praise for how Tim schooled him last term.

Fair enough. I think he has a strong personality and I thought he was a leader as a player and might have the character to make a good manager. He still might. Tactically, I really can't tell whether there was any method in his madness or it was just a bloke making it up as he went along, certainly his team selections often contradicted his rhetoric and were counter productive. The Newcsatle away game where he played 433 was a highlight for me too, but like Redknapp before him, he didn't seem to learn from it reverting more naive tactics in tougher games at Liverpool and Chelsea etc. Bentaleb wasn't rested after being overplayed, he was dropped completely for the last half dozen games of the season.

I think there's way too much self serving bollocks thrown in with his truths and half truths. Great for the seagulls of the media, not always great for everyone else.

Sounds like Pulis to West Brom is likely to happen....Newcastle might be Steve Bruce? Sherwood to Hull then?

Do clubs not know the window opens soon? I mean, I expected the carousel to be settled quickly now. But it just seems to be going as slow as usual.

Not saying this was definitely the issue but I went to an under 21s game vs Reading toward the end of last season and Bentaleb showed some of the worst attitude I've seen on a football pitch. I just got the feeling he was getting too big for his boots at the time so maybe Sherwood was trying to take him down a peg. Sherwood was at the game as well

Bentaleb was sent off toward the end of the first half for reacting pathetically to a foul, he turned round pushed the Reading player and threw the ball at him. Not just this but he was constantly shouting in the face of the ref and linesman and generally acting like a petulant child when decisions weren't going his way, kept shouting at some of our younger players especially our striker in the game who I believe was Akindayini. We also won an early penalty which Bentaleb demanded he took; and scored, to be fair. I think this is a questionable attitude for any player but he wasn't even captain or the most senior player on the pitch as both Vertonghen and Capoue played.

Now, I'm a huge fan of Bentaleb and delighted he's back playing this year and has progressed as a player but ever since that game I've lost a little respect for him

I know this sounds a bit wrong but I actually quite like a player who has a bit of nasty in him, as long as he's got the talent as well.

The Independent report Tim Sherwood is on the brink of being appointed the new West Brom manager. #THFC

I wager Tim will keep them up (somehow) and be heralded the "future of English football" (by the Jamie Redknapp, Martin Samuel, Neil Ashton group) and people will predict how he will be the one to watch to take over national team.....

He will then be given no money during the summer and get sacked in November for failing to keep WBA out of the drop zone...

I think Sherwood could be a good coach tbh. Would like to see him back in work, he just wasn't right for us.

Not PL news but Chris Hughton's just joined Brighton. Got a real fight on his hands to avoid relegation there, good luck to him.

Of course they know it's open soon. How quickly does the average hiring process take? Now how quicky does the average hiring process take for the face/most important appointment at a company take?

I think anyone turning around managerial appointments with factors such as salary, compensation, transfers, back room staff etc inside a week is actually pretty damn impressive.
