The Bolton goal sounds a little bit controversial, all starting with a back-pass. Pulis certainly isn't happy put it that way.

I've just realised how close Everton are to the relegation zone, yeah they have a game in hand, but are in shit form.

It would be massive if they were to go. Won't happen though.
Yeah, hope we play that game in hand ASAP

Wigan don't deserve anything out of this game, missing the sitters they have.

Useless.

This is what the instruction is from US Soccer Federation for the 'passback' violation, which is received directly from FIFA.

- Was the ball kicked with the foot?
- Was that action deliberate? (eg not a deflection or complete shank)
- Was the ball touched by the goalkeepers hands?

IMO it was yes to all 3 so it was a foul. Give credit to Stoke for knowing the laws.

If we picked Dougie Bader we could get round the rule.

I've often wondered about this...if a player with the same physical capabilities as Ol' Douggie Boy were to play football, and the ball was 10 feet in the air, could he unstrap his leg, and holding it high in his hands, 'kick' it? I mean, would that be seen as legitimate  Would it be handball  Would it be hand-foot-ball

I is confuse-ed

It was more meant to cover the ball being hit with the shin, but if its easier to rip on an entire nation being stupid about "soccer' then so be it.

Stoke getting turned over at Bolton now, is Wilson playing for them? if not is he injured or just unable to force his way into their line up?

I know it's not PL but it's good to see brighton back to winning ways.

No.
It was meant as a joke - hence the
It's called exploiting the ambiguity of language - which is what a lot of humour is about.
Folk do it with me, on occasion, and I just life - hell, I even ridicule my own use of language on occasion

Besides, the joke was about kicking with the foot and not because Yanks call football soccer - as should have been obvious, in that you kick the ball with your feet, your <Insert Appropriate verb> with other parts of the body, therefore, the with the foot is a bit of overkill.

Perhaps a humour transplant may work.

I'm a ref in the US. Trust me, the USSF Referee Committee excels at overkill. They have an acronym for almost everything.
