I just thought that he got a last minute call from murdoch, but surely boris would have been contacted by him right from the start, with instructions what to say.
Murdoch sold his share in Sky to Comcast three years ago. He has nothing to do with Sky anymore.

If we're talking about fair market prices for things, shouldn't West Ham's deal for the Olympic Stadium also be a bone of contention. Very cheap, super long lease for a brand new stadium?
I think the fact that West Ham have to play in that soulless pit is punishment enough…

Newcastle saying it’s unlawful ?
Feck off Newcastle
well done the Prem, make it stick
Until they get some back handers
I really hope this comes off.
I hope so too- but I'm not holding my breath with those at the top who said that these owners are ok
Sadly I doubt this changes anything- they'll easily find a friendly, "independent" company operating in Saudi to sponsor the club. Also FFP just seems meaningless now as it's not properly enforced anyway.
And there is the answer- The country telling someone "You have an extra tax this year- give it to Newcastle"
It just unbelievably difficult at where the line is with “ relationship “. If someone is a friend of Jamie Reuben is that a relationship ? Gonna be very tough to enforce even if get it permanently passed. And as said I’m sure there’s lots of ways round it.
Sadly very true.

I've quoted a lot here but it all stems back to are the new owners suitable- for me the answer is no unless they rob them of everything and leave them in a worse place than they were a few weeks ago

Problem is Chelsea are a well run Club that get a load of money in for all these young talents they sign.

I think Arsensl have spent more over the last 3 or 4 years.

If they buy Inter and can set their own price on sponsorship, they could pay inflated prices for Newcastle players, meaning they can pump cash into both
Can't wait for Jonjo Shelvey to complete his world record £250mil move to Inter, nothing suspicious about that...

They now need to vote against Prem Clubs doing transfers with Clubs linked to their Owners.

Dont orget paid for by tax payers money!!

Sadly, I think that ship has long since sailed. There were all sorts of things people were trying to do to stop the deal, even Labour MP Chris Bryant was demanding some sort of enquiry into what was obviously a very shady deal, but surprise surprise, nothing happened and the crooked bastards got the deal of a lifetime.

It's why they can easily afford to buy players now and pay them higher wages than they would normally have been able to do. Scum.

Could solve it easily.

Option 1 - Outright ban of all sponsorship for clubs in the Premier league
Option 2 - Any sponsorship deals made have to be shared equally amongst all 20 clubs, so City get 45 million for their shirts, that's 2.25million to every club

Sounds good to me.
