A draw will do for us. United would have been above us on goal difference anyway so we still would have needed them to lose/draw another game and us to win another. Anyway in regards to United their football is really, really shit. LVG is basically a more expensive Fat Sam. In fact if you gave Fat Sam the money and squad Van Gall has he'd get them in the top 4 comfortably.

I preferred a draw TBH. I'm starting to be thankful we got Pochettino instead of LVG.

Best result for us. Still within touching distance of Utd and two points gained on West Ham, who are still too close for comfort.

Draw is pretty decent for us. United are so average though as a team and they deserved nothing from that showing today.

What they do have is an abundance of world class stars who will most likely save their collective skin most weeks.

But as a team they're very average - certainly by standards of the past. I think we could take them if we avoid any serious injuries to key players.

I'd rather West Ham won because they are already running out of steam.

United though, they need to start losing games. I can't believe that they've played shit for so long and yet stayed undefeated.

Their luck needs to run out. Someone, hopefully us, gives them a slapping.

They've got Burnley, Swansea, Sunderland and Newcastle before us. Perhaps the latter two can get something. Hopefully it's Sunderland, but they're at OT.

Shows you that having loads of world-class players doesn't mean too much if they're not a team. As you said, sometimes a team has so much individual quality that they'll scrape 3rd/4th.

Yeah indeed. I really hope we go up there in March with no fear, we're good enough to beat that side.

And the most pleasing thing about us is we really are starting to resemble a proper team now.

Something has to give in concern with United soon, surely. Game after game they get away with playing so crap. I'll give them nothing but credit if they make the top 4 playing like this because to do it for a whole season does warrant that really but it will be crazy if they do.

After each game, even ignoring what Poch is doing with us now I can't help but think thank fuck we didn't get Van Gaal. That's just my current feeling anyway.

Unfortunately for LVG he has bought so many players that getting them into a cohesive unit is difficult as we proved and as have Liverpool.

I think we have dodged a bullet with him although I respect his career. I just think he makes a lot of odd choices especially with Rooney being a CM.
