We didn't lose a single match this month. We won all 3 of our league games and won Fulham in the cup over 2 games. Let's hope April will be as good.

Gareth Bale won the February poll and became the first player ever to win the RSHB's player of the month twice. He also won the January poll. Here are the top 5 players from last month:

1. Gareth Bale - 128 votes (79.87%)
2. Roman Pavlyuchenko - 26 votes (16.35%)
3. Luka Modric - 2 votes (1.26%)
4. Tom Huddlestone - 1 vote (0.63%)
5. Michael Dawson - 1 vote (0.63%)

Voters: 159

Player of the month:
March: ?
February: Gareth Bale (79.87%)
January: Gareth Bale (81.53%)
December: Michael Dawson (35.86%)
November: Niko Kranjcar (73.28%)
October: Heurelho Gomes (69.17%)
September: Peter Crouch (15.79%)
August: Aaron Lennon (27.19%)

Bale's probably going to run away with it again - and it will be deserved.

But I still voted Pav, just for a change. He's had a couple of great months.

This Bale hard-on some of you have got has got to deflate at some point - yeah, he's not done bad, but that's what we pay him to do! I really think it's an illusion, because of the terrible start he had.

For me this month, Eidur has bought a whole new dimension to our game. He's provided Harry with the comfort of knowing he has a player who can string together the gap between the midfield and the strikers, something we've lacked a lot, and when up front has shown his class with some really strong assaults on the six yard box.

Fulham(a) 0-0 | Palacios was a BEAST, Bale very good too.
Blackburn(h) 3-1 | Bale was exceptional, Palacios very good.
Stoke(a) 1-2 | Very good team performance, no standout players, possibly one of the CB's or Eidur.
Fulham(h) 3-1 | Eidur and Bentley the standout players
Pompey(h) 2-0 | Bale brilliant again. Gomes with 2 great saves. Luka controlling.

So on the whole, Bale gets it again, though it would've been close if Wilson wasn't having to skip games due to his yellow card situation. Eidur has made a nice impact, the rest of the team have done well too.

Really hard to pick a player this month. Palacios continues t be our heartbeat and engine room. Gomes was great. Pavlyuchenko emerged from his chrysalis to become a goalscoring butterfly. Bale's marauding runs deservedly catch the eye but for me our run of recent form can be directly traced back to the introduction of Modric at Wigan. Thrust into CM he could have shrunk from the responsibility, but in fact he excelled and if Palacios was the engine then Modric has been the steering mechanism, dictating our tempo and involved in everything good.

No body has touched the ball and completed any where near the same passes as him.

I gave it to Bale but you couldn't go wrong with Pav, Wilson, or even Gomes.

not done bad? the guy has been fantastic since he has come in this season.

Have watched as much of the Wales games that have been on TV as i could when he has played and he has been fantastic for them even when he had a bad time with us.

There is no illusion at all with Bale, the guy has been involved in so much of the good things that we have been producing recently.

It is tough to single one player out though, so many great performances right through the team.

Voted Bale, pure class.

Got at least 3 assists this month from a LB/LM position, Pav's 2nd goal vs Blackburn, fouled for the free Bentley scored vs Fulham in the replay and crossed for Crouch on Saturday.

Also very good this month IMO, Gomes, Gudjohnsen, Pavlyuchenko, Bassong.

Special mention to Kyle Walker who put in a promising debut, while Livermore also made his debut this month too!

I personally think that Modric has been poor since he was put into central midfield. The Fulham games were an example of how not to play as a CM'er. Against Stoke again he was mediocre and as another SC'er rightly pointed out we cannot rely on the opposition going down to 10 men before Modric starts to shine.

I honestly believe that Modric could be sold during the summer. He is a very good player but i dont believe his style of play suits the premier league and he would be far more efficient in Serie A.

Not gonna debate, but just wanna make it clear that i DISAGREE!

(Could find a spot for him in any other premiership squad!)

RSS, you know I love you, but you have to stop smoking that shit. Everyone's paid to do what they do, that doesn't mean Bale hasn't been sensational whilst doing it. Bad start or no bad start, I wouldn't have anyone else from the Prem in his position. Cole and Evra are both excellent, but Bale's better than both of them going forward and his defence is improving dramatically week after week - and he's only 14 or something so he's got bundles of time to become an all time great player.

Bale for me, but Palacios runs him very close. And Livermore put in an unbelievable 45 seconds against Stoke.

I thought that! he almost doubled the Jenas contribution for the season in that cameo alone!

Can't understand why Pav isn't an automatic choice. Bale's been fantastic but super Pav has been a revelation, without him we'd be out of the race for 4th

I really think it's an illusion, because of the terrible start he had.

Terrible start? If we'd done POTM awards then he would have won then. He made ManU's players look like they were running through quicksand. He got injured and then people seem to have conflated that with being dropped.

Admitedly he wasn't as good when he came back but no one was at the time
