Having watched the match and overall a poor performance my basic ratings are as follows:

Cudicini 8
Hutton 4
Corluka 6
Walker 7
Naughton 5
Kranjcar 4
Jenas 5
Huddlestone 5
Bale 8
Modric 7
Keane 6.

Townsend 6
Taarabt 5
Rose 5

Some comments in addition IMO:-
Players on park tonight who are good enough to play in achampions league game: Cudicini, Corluka, Bale, Modric + Keane (not as a lone forward of course) and Walker may be good enough?
Players on park tonight who should be sold: Hutton, Jenas, Taarabt and maybe Huddlestone

Sell huddlestone because of one so so performance in a pre season friendly? You are quite clearly Clueless.

We're playing early pre-season games against teams in the middle of their season in the middle of a very hot US summer.

Chill the fuck out.

I haven't seen the game yet, but i'm more interested in the fitness levels of the lads than the performance ratings. Especially Corluka and Kranjcar who finished the season injured. They need a bit more time to get sharp again.

Thought Hudd was the best player vs. San Jose, and I expect him to push on from last year - he's a player you'd expect to get better with experience i.e. doesn't rely on pace....in that he doesn't have any

an early contender for 'most pointless thread of the season' if i'm not mistaken.

I was again impressed with Walker, he looks to have a bit of everything about him, pace, strength, awareness and love it when he breaks forwards.

I was again disappointed with Keane, first half he was very poor with so many needless offsides. He just doesn't seem dangerous in the slightest. Glad he scored though, and hopefully it will give him the boost of confidence he desperately needs, though he'll likely be sold shortly.

Taarabt did alright I thought. Mostly tidy in possession, only once can I remember him looking to beat the whole team on his own with options available. The rest of the time he kept it simpler and linked play pretty well. Perhaps he's grown up a little bit. I always like a player who demands the ball in the way he does.

Naughton looks terribly average, though was playing out of position.

I've only seen the highlights, but I thought Hutton looked disinterested

I do find the fact that every single player in the back 4 was a RB - only Spurs

Walker has genuine promise, a potential star

A little disappointed that we didn't create more though, albeit it was a very weird side

Looking forward to getting the World Cup lads back

What on earth was Hutton doing for their goal? That was properly amateur defending. Yes yes it was a pre-season friendly but any defender who has the potential to do that really shouldn't be in our squad.

Anyway...this tour is a little bit pointless from a footballing perspective but hopefully it's building up the fitness levels.

bale was MOTM - phenomenal player

cudicini did well, as on the whole did walker

i think the tour is fine as it gives fringe players a chance and it's helping our 'previously injured' get some match time

plus i love the way americans do soccer, so for me it's a privilege to be able to watch and hear it thousands of miles away

Hutton must be the worst defender we've had at the club, can't think of anybody worse!

I realise there is a great deal of support for Huddlestone but I fail to see it's worthiness, except on a rare occasion. I have seen many games where he has made mistake after mistake + failed to track back or close down quickly enough etc. In these games many people have given him high marks just because he makes the occasional good long pass- He ain't no Glen Hoddle & as far as I am concerned he is not good enough for us.
