Harry - 8.5 - Put Zokora in at right back after he had a good game against Middlesborough but had the balls to make the change and Corluka did him proud. Has got the individual members of the team to understand their responsibilities, most notably Modric who today was far from stand-out but worked hard and closed down the spaces when off the ball.
Gomes - 7 - Looked pretty solid to be fair to him. The only time he didn't was when he got fouled. Continue to be impressed by his character.
Corluka - 8 - OK, I've left Zokora out but he was very poor! Charlie was brilliant - used all his guile to keep Young quiet. Look at the BBC live text and you will not see Ashley Young's name mentioned after the first half all thanks to Charlie who was full of wiley little moves such as holding A. Young back when he was off the ball. Played some nice stuff going forwards too. Really quelled the doubts that I had about him.
Woody - 8 - Does so well against players that are man-mountains. Restricted a powerful Villa attack to the one late goal.
Ledley - 8 - Love him. Really solid performance. I love the calm he brings to our performances.
BAE - 7 - Yes, he was very good defensively but his distribution really is horrendous - he's the type of player that polarises opinion because fans focus on one aspect of his game. Kept Milner quiet apart from for the assist but very poor passing.
Lennon - 9 - Goodness me he has come on leaps and bounds. Saw Zoko in trouble and tracked back to double up on Ashley Young. Put in plenty of dangerous balls and was a constant threat. Had a level-head towards the end and slowed the play down very nicely. So happy to have him at spurs.
Jenas - 7.5 - Again, he understands the task at hand. Mopped stuff up all over the show and came up with a goal.
Palacios - 6.5 - Some awful short passes from Wilson. Where is that player we had against Arsenal?! Nevertheless, he tried hard, closed down well and executed his defensive responsibilities nicely.
Modric - 7 - Disciplined game. See the Player Watcher thread for more.
Keane - 8 - Worked really hard and played a couple of delightful passes. Is starting to look like he can link up well with Bent. He's become a right grumpy bugger though hasn't he?! Always narking at refs. Massive hand in the second goal and probably deserved one himself.
D Bizzle - 8.5 - So very impressed by his willing running, his constant harrying and some good runs down the flanks. Got a fully-merited goal to boot. Well done Darren, you really have earned your place in the team!
