Our team for the coming future is shaping up to be so young and dynamic.
It's not up to me but if it were I'd be looking to loan him to a low-mid table La Liga club with a few Argentinians in the squad for a season. That way he'll get a considerable step-up from the Argentinian league, but won't be overwhelmed having to learn a new language immediately. If he wants to put the hard work him he can learn basic English during the year, so if we decide he's ready in 24/25 he can communicate with the squad.Rumor was that he was going to be loaned back - doesn't seem like that's happening anymore if I'm reading everything correctly
Brighton seem to send a fair few players on loan to Belgium for a year before bringing them into the first team setup (e.g. Mitoma, Caicedo). Not sure why Belgium specifically but presumably seen as a good league to acclimatise them to European football? It's not up to me but if it were I'd be looking to loan him to a low-mid table La Liga club with a few Argentinians in the squad for a season. Then again there have been players like Alvarez for example who have adapted immediately, so who knows!

Yeah but they actually sent Caicedo and Mitoma to different Belgian clubs, so I guess it's more than just that?Their owners own a feeder club there

I'm not sure Gill's loan back was actually beneficial to his Spurs career. Yes, he got game time. But it was a game time in a league that is nothing like the PL.It's not up to me but if it were I'd be looking to loan him to a low-mid table La Liga club with a few Argentinians in the squad for a season. The only reason he’d need a loan is if it looks likely he won’t get any game time here. Which is quite possible considering we play with only 1 striker and no Europe. It’s a tricky one as Richy does like to pick up a knock but i think Son is more than capable of covering if necessary. I’d love to see him stay but only if we give him decent minutes.I may be wrong here but I doubt anyone who comes from the top tier in Argentina needs a loan to prepare for the rough and tumble of the EPL.
Son is not a CF that talk needs to stop. There's no substitute for game time in the prem. Keep him here and give him 25 mins as often as possible and see how he goes. The only reason he’d need a loan is if it looks likely he won’t get any game time here. I checked earlier, translates to Suitcase Christmas!Veliz Navidad!
As I said, we should def keep him if he will be getting decent game time, as you say 25 mins here and there would be a good start but if it’s 25 mins total in all comps then a loan instead would be the better move imo.Son is not a CF that talk needs to stop. Sending him to Spain won't help him settle in London and also is a poor comparison for the premier League.
If he has to go I hear there is a certain team in Germany that might need a striker.
His second loan, to Sevilla, was definitely beneficial to his career in general. Needed minutes and got 24 appearances. Boosted his profile to the extent of getting another senior call up for Spain. Played at a level as high as the Europa league final and got a winner's medal.I'm not sure Gill's loan back was actually beneficial to his Spurs career. Yes, he got game time. Admittedly none of that is PL specific experience.
But I can't believe that any PL specificity in being given, optimistically, a handful of appearances during the miserable Conte/Stellini/Mason car crash, could possibly outweigh the benefits to Spurs from one of our young players really flourishing for half a season in some very high-level environments
