Rumor was that he was going to be loaned back - doesn't seem like that's happening anymore if I'm reading everything correctly

It's not up to me but if it were I'd be looking to loan him to a low-mid table La Liga club with a few Argentinians in the squad for a season. That way he'll get a considerable step-up from the Argentinian league, but won't be overwhelmed having to learn a new language immediately. If he wants to put the hard work him he can learn basic English during the year, so if we decide he's ready in 24/25 he can communicate with the squad.

Then again there have been players like Alvarez for example who have adapted immediately, so who knows!

Brighton seem to send a fair few players on loan to Belgium for a year before bringing them into the first team setup (e.g. Mitoma, Caicedo). Not sure why Belgium specifically but presumably seen as a good league to acclimatise them to European football?

Their owners own a feeder club there

Personally I would keep him in the squad this year. I want players to come in, work with Ange and train with our players. He will learn a huge amount from Kane and training every day with our players will make him a better player.

Still only 19, but has a very big frame and could play some games, come on as sub in quite a few which would be a good starter season in my opinion.

Keep him in the squad until Christmas and then judge what sort of loan for him. Ideally premier league

I'm not sure Gill's loan back was actually beneficial to his Spurs career. Yes, he got game time. But it was a game time in a league that is nothing like the PL.

I may be wrong here but I doubt anyone who comes from the top tier in Argentina needs a loan to prepare for the rough and tumble of the EPL.

The only reason he’d need a loan is if it looks likely he won’t get any game time here. Which is quite possible considering we play with only 1 striker and no Europe. It’s a tricky one as Richy does like to pick up a knock but i think Son is more than capable of covering if necessary. I’d love to see him stay but only if we give him decent minutes.

Son is not a CF that talk needs to stop. There's no substitute for game time in the prem. Keep him here and give him 25 mins as often as possible and see how he goes.

Sending him to Spain won't help him settle in London and also is a poor comparison for the premier League.

If he has to go I hear there is a certain team in Germany that might need a striker.

Seeing as Richarlison statistically does better as a LF not loaning out Veliz makes sense, gives us excellent attacking options from the bench aswell, Son, Kane, Kulu starting with Veliz, Richy and Solomon gives us excellent depth.

As I said, we should def keep him if he will be getting decent game time, as you say 25 mins here and there would be a good start but if it’s 25 mins total in all comps then a loan instead would be the better move imo.

His second loan, to Sevilla, was definitely beneficial to his career in general. Needed minutes and got 24 appearances. Boosted his profile to the extent of getting another senior call up for Spain. Played at a level as high as the Europa league final and got a winner's medal.

Admittedly none of that is PL specific experience.

But I can't believe that any PL specificity in being given, optimistically, a handful of appearances during the miserable Conte/Stellini/Mason car crash, could possibly outweigh the benefits to Spurs from one of our young players really flourishing for half a season in some very high-level environments

They should have secured an English loan for him.
