Dare I say it, from the extremely short youtube clip he looks very mobile and full of energy. Hopefully he can get around a lot quicker than our current midfielders who seemed to be running through treacle yesterday

A lot of people seem a bit lukewarm because he's seen as a budget Schneiderlin but Eriksen was the plan B to Willian and that's turned out pretty well. Hopefully he's as good as he looks.

Seems like a terrier to run about a bit in front of our back four.

yeh!!!

Another pit part player who will be on the fringes of the 1st team for 12 - 18 months and who we'll then move on for a slight profit

Well done Danny Boy

PS) prove me wrong Ben

Sandro isn't mobile or resilient enough for the Prem anymore dude.

No-one wants him to go, or to not get in the team, the fact is he'll be more suited to Italy or even Spain now.

I'm happy about this signing. We need more players who are all round good players, not simply good at one aspect of play. I think he'll prove to be a steal at that price, because he's got passion and skill and plenty of different qualities.

Serious question, any better than Sandro? Or is he just less injury prone?

Nobody really knows because...who the hell watches ligue 1? Not even the actual French!

Write-ups suggest he's more technically capable and better at being the pivot to turn defence into attack. But he does seem to like a dramatic sliding tackle like Sandro.

ETA: And his nickname is 'the lion' apparently. It's no 'Beast' but it'll do fine.

Signings like this excite me quite a bit - largely because they have the possibility of being real rough diamonds. Admittedly I thought the same thing about Holtby, but it makes sense for a club in our position to be taking risks on players that might turn out great, rather than spending money we can't afford on other club's discoveries.
