He does appear to be of this "new" ilk of a CDM/DLP hybrid that I would also lump Schneiderlin and someone such as Dzemaili into. I like what I see from the clips, as it appears as though he has good agility and dribbling ability to go with the features of a holding mid such as tackling, which is a rare combination.

After saving £9m on no Musa and £18m(ish) on MS I want a big name. I know we shouldn't just waste our cash but someone else in the 3 would be nice.
Buy Lavezzi for Lavezzi, Eriksen, Lamela or buy Tevez for Eriksen, Tevez, Lamela. I know it's not as simple as this but I think it's something we should consider!

I think that would still leave us well overstocked in central midfield. I think even with this move alone, we'll still see one of Dembele, Paulinho, or Bentaleb depart via sale or loan on top of Sandro and Holtby.

Well tbf, you have to also include the fact he'd be playing in a club's own stadium with us, with view to be playing in the new one; vs playing in a half empty track stadium. Of course, the Prem is also likely to be more conducive to increasing chances at the national side, especially a club that consists of that national side's captain and one who is believed to possibly even have a say in who is selected or not (see: Nasri WC 2014).

I wonder if the reports are behind as I don't see anything on their OS about him going to Italy for a medical, but yet they released a statement saying he was on his way to us.
