@Bobbins

Did we need a better back-up goalie? Yes

Did we need more depth at LB? YEEES

Did we need a new starting CB? Yes

Did we need more depth at CB? Yes

Did we need Schneiderlin? Yes

Therefore, is it that bad that we've got a supposed "clone" of him? No.

The Yedlin one I don't get but he's potentially not joining until next sumer anyway.

Sky Sports report Stambouli is now due to travel to London to have a medical and to finalise his contract with Tottenham. #THFC
how come there was 0 ITK on this? Makes yer wonder doesn't it. Just the same I would love to hear from jjetset and co on how/why this happend without anyone's knowledge. The exciting thing is, if they had no idea about a transfer actually happening under there nose, what else could happen transfer deadline day they don't know about :)

Things slip under the radar or maybe it happened so quickly that it didn't give the itk's a chance to get told about it, but yeah also it makes you wonder of anything else will happen.

I wanted a LB this summer, a back-up GK, and a CB.

We do not 'need' any of those extra positions, we do not 'need' Schneiderlin, we do not 'need' a new starting CB, we do not 'need' more depth at CB.

All those things might be nice, but we don't 'need' any of them. We have an enormous squad, and now find ourselves 'needing' to sell a significant number of players, because we've got too many. We're also clearly not interested in letting young players like Mason, Carroll and Fredricks have a chance to prove themselves - we'd rather buy a bunch of foreign blokes with good sell-on values instead.

We're addicted, as a club, to the buying and selling of players. We're a player trading exchange these days. We're not interested in continuity when it comes to managers and that's bled down to the playing squad as well.

Anyway I don't give a shite about all the negs etc I'm getting for this - history has proven it true, however people try to rationalise each and every transfer.

I have never doubted that levy always has the best of intentions for the club, but this is the wrong way to go about it. Again and again. Our player turnover is through the roof and it does the club no good and gives the fans very little chance to form a connection with the players, which is at the heart and soul of what a football club is about.

None of them are good enough for us.

We've had almost zero leaks since Poch took over. All our signings have been broken by either the press (mainly Alan Nixon) very late in the day, or by the selling club.

We seem to be running a much much tighter ship these days.

Why? Must there be ITK on everything?

Nature of the transfer business, you would expect some gossip around the club and the rest of the industry in the majority of transfers.
Most of it wrong of course.

Perhaps, but you would not neccessarily expect every piece of gossip/ rumour to reach the 2 or 3 people who report it back here.
