Good to see us loaning players out again. Gil doesn't really fit Conte's system so it makes sense for him to go somewhere and actually play. The way Poch refused to loan anyone was one of his biggest mistakes. We've seen how Skipp benefitted from a loan and if Poch loaned out KWP he could've been our RB now.

I've liked what I've seen of him this season but he needs regular football and yes, he could have gone to a championship team, but it's a league he already knows so should settle fairly quick.

I hope he has a good reminder of the season and comes back pushing for a starting 11 place.

It's the speed and frenzy of our game he needs to get used to. The kicking is merely a bonus!

Excellent loan. Really think he's going to be class when his time comes. Sure Conte and fitness coaches will have given him a list of things to work on etc.

I'm sure a half season in Spain playing at the top level is much more beneficial than getting his leg broken against Stoke.

The only theory there is that he'd then be getting used to being in the country at least. But yeah, the level of football he'll be playing is good.
