This is one of the reasons I was open to loaning someone and allowing Gil to leave on loan, struggle to see Gil getting many minutes here. Think his value will depreciate and we will be adding him to the players we don't want but can't sell list next season.

Hope I'm wrong and he gets given a chance and takes it with both hands, just struggle to see it personally.

Like everyone else I hope he gets his chance with us - even if that just means getting some minutes off the bench fairly regularly although I can't see that happen unless we get some injuries as he is clearly not going to get in ahead of Richarlison unless he can prove himself better on the right as a Kulu backup.

I prefer Gil over the options that were touted as his replacement (Traore, Martins, James etc. etc.), and think he is a better bench option than any of those. But the most important thing is it is pretty clear at this point Conte does not rate Gil - in which case not bringing in a replacement has left us short, as Conte is just not going to utilize him (outside of easier cup games perhaps).

I don't think it is a matter of whether Conte rates him as a player or not - I'm sure he thinks he is a good player with a lot of potential. The issue is whether Conte feels Gil has the attributes he needs for him to implement his system and this looks like he doesn't.

And it's psychological from Conte's point of view.

He's going to feel now he has to use him more but then Iif he's reluctant to we really are going to end up with more injuries to others.

Our fixture list is insane.

Totally. Gil will get games. He has to play, to fill in for players here and there. He can also change how we line up in certain situations. IE: he floats behind a front two, in a roving 10 role. The kid is meant to be immensely talented. Maybe with some min we can see that talent.

We also need to consider that Perisic can also play in a front 3.

So pointless keeping him. He won’t play conte doesn’t trust him and he doesn’t want to be here. More nights like last night of barely using any subs ffs

think the clubs treated him pretty poorly overall
the club gave him a very lucrative contract which he has signed willingly.

we have 0 obligations to let him go help another team while we receive nothing and leave ourselves short.

It comes to the same thing really - Conte doesn't seem to see him as a useable asset.

I pretty much see the same fate for Sarr. And then for Udogie.
I don't. No indication that Spurs were pushing Sarr out the door this summer - suggesting he has shown something in training. He might need to go out on loan in January - but this looks like a good time to bed him into the squad and country.

Udoggie looks the most physically ready of the the 3, but wasn't going to get in front of Perisic and Sess this season, so no problem leaving him in place until next summer.

Sarr, White, Tanganga and Bryan.... for all probably a big shame they dont get their loan move. They need minutes to develop, and more than 5 an odd game here and there.

Unfortunately Conte hasnt even used these players really when we are up a few. Dont like that personally, in the long run we dont do the next generation any favour and they probably want to leave soon ( if not already )

I don’t think we should apologise to Valencia for keeping our player or to Gil for not sending him back to Spain.

January hopefully we have a plan and address the issue or alternatively he turns into a world beater and we are all set

Interestingly (I think) Paratici has brought in 14 players. 1 put on loan as part of the deal and 1 in Gollini contract expired. The other 12 are all in the 26 first team squad. Who has the power over the players not being good enough for the squad Paratici or Conte? It feels a slight concern going forward

Not really. It’s also on Conte to actually give him a chance. Everything we’ve seen indicates he’s a always applied himself well. He’s probably gutted because he knows he’s gonna rot on the bench like he did for the first half of last season. His family supposedly want him to come back to Spain so after being led to believe a move was happening for absolutely ages it’s understandable that he’s annoyed it’s collapsed at the last minute.
Conte will give him a chance as long as he earns it
