Would seem an odd signing for Barca now given they have Coutinho, their new chap Arthur and Dembele coming back into favour.

I know it's a squad game but would be tricky keeping all of them happy.
Messi also fills that role behind Suarez. If anything they'll maybe look for a future replacement for Suarez, and a replacement for Busquets in defensive midfield as they both age. Coutinho replaced Iniesta, Arthur replaced Xavi so no need for Eriksen now unless they want him for squad depth. I'm not sure that would appeal to him.

Eriksen is better than both but seems like a waste of money for Barca when they have bigger needs.

If anything I think eriksen would be a replacement for rakatic. I'll be honest if barca did come in with a huge cash plus rakatic I'd rip there hands off so quick no blood would spill.

Eriksen would replace Modric at Real Madrid if anything but until it happens I'd rather talk about him being a Spurs player...because you know he still plays for Spurs believe it or not.

I want to see he and Winks in a 4-3-3 today.

Arthur sure, he's still a young prospect. Totally different type of player to Eriksen, plays more the Winks role between DM and AM. He has huge potential so could become world class in a matter of years. They need to keep the pressure of the tag 'next Xavi' away from him though.

Coutinho is world class as is Eriksen. Both offer different qualities, Coutinho is very quick with his feet and a little burst of pace over short distance. Eriksen is so clever with his head up picking passes for runners in front. I wouldn't say either is better but I would certainly say they wouldn't be looking for Eriksen because they have Coutinho.

I can't see this as an option either. He is not the same type of player as Modric. They already have Isco for the Eriksen role and he's world class. I fancy them to go for Savic to replace Modric. He's physical enough to play a slightly deeper role and link between DM and AM. He offers a more complete solution and I fancy he's a Real Madrid type of player in the sense that he's one of the buzz names in football at the moment. As much as I love Eriksen and he's highly rated in England I'm not convinced he's a big enough name for Madrid.

Thought he was poor tonight. Plenty of misplaced passes just looks off it. Whether it’s fitness or contract no idea. But miles off his best imo.

He's been well off all season if we're honest. That cross against PSV was his only 'Eriksen' like moment, hopefully it's just world cup/ injuries disruption and he gets into it this month or basically every game will be a slog

Seems Eriksen was equally impressed/surprised by Sissoko's pass

Eriksen is a key player for us and a very difficult one to replace. Not just for his skill level but because he has an engine similar to that of Modric (though a different type of player). I think he is suffering with a post World Cup syndrome plus injury but once recovered will be back to his best. Interesting to see Son, for example, looking more like his old self yesterday as he like Eriksen carries the hopes of a national team pretty much on his own shoulders ... I think we underestimate the draining effect of being key national figures and we have a lot of those in our first eleven

Saw his interview afterwards. I know he Is low-key but man it was another level lol. Like he was talking about doing the shopping. My worry is he will be selected over lamela or moura just because it’s him that’s poch way. Having Kane eriksen dele in a starting line up would definitely be having 3 players not at their best which could be costly.
