Couldn't really ask for a better background for a manager to Dane.

McKenna seems like a superb coach and Ipswich's turnaround since he came in has been really impressive. As long as Scarlett gets game time this is as good a loan as he could possibly get.

Can anyone with a bit of insight tell me whether he's likely to be a starter for Ipswich?

On paper a very good loan as long as he is playing regularly.

Definitely should be pushing, their strikers are solid but nothing spectacular, think he’ll be fighting it out with George Hirst who was on loan there last season, performed well under McKenna and purchased him this summer.

I’m an Ipswich boy and go to a few games a year with mates, so I’m very happy to hear Scarlett’s coming here. Hirst and Lapado are both alright, might be a little bit of a challenge as they are both more physical than Dane but I’d like to think his class will show and he’d get ahead of them.

Great move, glad that's happened. Good luck, Dane.

Only drawback is saying the name of the place... all sharp edges and pointy bits to it, so unappealing to say, it's my least favorite place name to speak out loud.

Yes, I am aware it's not normal to think about but phonetics count. Try it, say it out loud - not a nice experience is it? It's okay though, I gotchu - try saying "cellar door".... mmmm, yeah! Now try "elbow" - much better. So comfy.

That's because you don't say it with a Suffolk lilt, do that and it's much softer and drawn out so it take three times as long to say it.😊

Unused sub in 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday today. Next up for Ipswich is Southampton on Tuesday, so chance for Dane to make off the bench.
