Love U BC, think you have a great mind for the game, but you are totally wrong about Walker and Trippier. Walker stretches defenses creating choas and space. Trippier is pinpoint, but extremely predictable and a lot more comfortable to play against. Trippier's # last year look so much better than walkers bc he was cherry picked games against some horrible sides, so the stats r slanted.
And finally defensively the 2 arent even comparable, Walkers one of the best defensive fullbacks in world football. It's a disgrace that we sold him to a league rival and I hope we dont make the same mistake with Rose.
You're probably right about about City, though I do think that Walker was the best FB on the market last year as that's why he starts over Danilo.Rose has played one league game in nearly a year and we've had our best PL finish without him, and also made our best PL start.
If Guardiola had signed Aurier instead of Walker, City would be playing exactly the same way and Aurier would be doing exactly the same kind of things Walker is. Both very decent, but neither are super intelligent.
Which is why we haven't missed Walker or Rose one bit.
Thats unfair on Davies, he wasn't great on the weekend but this season Davies has created more chances than any other player in our team and is 7th in the league for overall chances with Davies creating 2.4 chances a game. Crazy statsRose got better & better tonight. Affects the game in a way Davies can’t
Great performance considering how long he’s been out
Brilliant technical decision from Poch!

To put that in context the next defenders on the list is
26th Trippier - 1.6 chances a game
46th Moreno - 1.1 chances a game
47th Cresswell - 1.1 chances a game
52nd Young - 1 chances a game
53rd Daniels 1 chances a game
62nd Gomez - 1
63rd Baines - 1
65th Zabaleta - 0.9
69th Bertrand - 0.9
74th Fuches - 0.9
80th Bellerin - 0.8
86th Walker - 0.8
Davies wasn't good enough against Arsenal, but he has been very very good this season. Much better than some fans seem to realise. Rose was very promising tonight, and is beginning to show us the player he once was, after a pretty bad night out against Palace, but he has a serious fight on.
Davies is an improving young player, I'm yet to be convinced that Rose will ever be the player he once was and he has reached that age where time is against him. I'm happy to have them both back though, and hopefully they can both push each other on.

Poch got it right then. Rose looked match fit last night for the first time and he got a good performance out of the player.
After the game Jenas said that he'd spoken to Rose about Saturday and he said that Rose told him he felt fully fit. But obviously the coaches didn't hence the extra training.
Hard to know based on that if there was an arguements but you'd expect Rose to take not playing badly. Jenas did seem to be being reserved with what he was telling the cameras.
And yet when both players played for the same club (us) with the same players in the same season, Trippier's assist rate and chance creation rate absolutely pissed all over Walker's. In fact even this season, despite Walker playing with some of the best attacking players in the best attacking team the PL has ever seen, Tripper is still more creative:

Go figure.
"no fall out, no bust up, I was fuming to miss the biggest game of the season, but it seems the manager was right"
The bear is backI wish you would.
Interview in the Standard, says a lot but refers to “this season” four times - he’s definitely off in the summer, as we have suspected.
There’s more at the link but I can’t paste the whole thing as I’m on my phone:
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...am-star-denies-falling-out-with-a3698136.html
Speaking for the first time about being dropped, Rose said: “My reaction was I was fuming, I was angry. But understanding, at the same time. There has been no bust-up, there has been no argument. There has been no falling out. The manager explained he thought it’d be better for me to do a hard session on Saturday, which I did.
“I understand there have been a lot of reports but they are not welcomed and they are not true.
Asked whether he felt fit to play against the Gunners, Rose said: “I don’t know. Whatever fitness I have, I still feel I’m one of the best in the League, I believe in my ability.
“At Tottenham, you have to have an exceptional level of fitness. I’m not there yet because I’ve been out for a long time. I’m still catching up.
“I wasn’t happy [with being left out] but it’s gone now, we all have to move on. When I get the opportunity to play, like I did last night, I have to try to do as well as I can.”
Speculation persisted over the weekend that Rose could make a £40million move to Manchester United in the January transfer window but the left-back (left, in action last night) told Standard Sport: “I’ve said in most interviews I’ve done this season that I want to contribute to Tottenham winning something this season.
“Nothing has changed. Everyone just needs to understand that me and the manager want the same thing for this season: we want to win something.
“So I’m on the same page, I’m fully focused on playing as many games as I can for Tottenham, contributing to something beautiful, successful this season.
My thoughts were that Poch rotates full backs and Davies is fully fit so starts against Arsenal. That's about it really.
If Rose does go i wouldn't mind a swap with Luke Shaw. He was great for Poch and has been unlucky with the big injury he had and he is very young so has lots of time to heal and improve again.
You're probably right about about City, though I do think that Walker was the best FB on the market last year as that's why he starts over Danilo.
But to say we havent missed Walker is bullshit, Kyle knew exactly how to play in the system and if he had an end protect he would have been an all time great. Aurier still finding his feet in the system and trying to build a understanding with other players. Trippier is a limited player.
We havent missed Rose as much because Davies is a wonderful player in his own right, that doesnt mean that Rose playing for Manchester United wouldntg be a massive boost for there squad.
