Restrict his access to the first team facilities, just let him work with a fitness coach. Then he can make his own decision on how much he care about his England career. Ffs what an attitude. Probably have to go around Poch for this though, he's too loyal to his men.

So according to Rose, we've got a player who the manager likes and wants to keep, but a board that is desperate to sell.

Now I'm confused; that sounds bonkers.

You've never heard of boards trying to sell players behind the managers backs? Not saying that went on here but it's common that managers and chairman have different agendas over their players.

This is the same guy who thought we were nowhere near ambitious enough, needed to sell the crap and bring in names you didn't have to Google, wanted to leave if we couldn't do that, was totally desperate to go back up north. So the club seemingly said fine, off you go then - only for him to turn around and go I can't believe you're forcing me out, how dare you! So I wouldn't exactly trust his version of events to be accurate, he frankly sounds like a really dodgy broken AI player on Football Manager who makes a demand and then starts a riot when you comply with it.

I see Rose is gobbing off to the press again.

Hard to criticise him too harshly given the example set by his manager.

Still not something you'd expect to happen at a club which is generally content behind-the-scenes. Says a lot that he clearly isn't worried about comeuppance from his team mates.

It's quite fucking simple really.

Drop him in the under 23s. He doesn't deserves to be starting games ffs.

Just give him gardening leave until his contract is out. Surely he is in breach of contract for what he is saying about Levy, ban him from the training ground, give him a membership at fitness first or something

You get the feeling that there is a disruptive influence in, or around, the team.
Somebody who dislikes the way Levy handles contract negotiations and salary levels.
Maybe a player...or an agent being subversive.
But, it feels like quite a few other players are now reacting by putting their proverbial foot down, unhappy at the way they are treated in comparison to other Top 4 teams.
It ‘feels’ like they are colluding together and have gained strength from watching each other take the same stance, which is particularly worrying for Spurs and will have a detrimental effect on others in the squad.

Is there mutiny amongst the ranks?

Jack Pitt-Brooke (I think) stated that the club and Poch has tried to sell him since 2017. Poch and Rose have always had a good relationship, so I think it's more a case of Poch not wanting to give him the Bentaleb treatment if they don't get him out of the door. But maybe he should have.

Can't keep letting players wear the shirt with attitudes like this. Loan him out in Jan and get a decent LB in.

I don't see an issue with this attitude.
It's not a "I want to leave so will do all I can to cause problems" attitude. It's just that he hasn't been offered a new deal, is still happy at the club, wants to play and will then make the most of a free transfer when his contract expires.
If he's still giving his all in training and on match day then I don't see where the problem is.

He should of been sold after doing that interview in The Sun. I’ve always thought he had a massive chip on his shoulder but it turns out he’s just a dick. Our own fault really for not selling him then.

How are we going to do that when he won't agree to moving his registration?

I don't really see what he's said that's so bad. He wants to stay at the club and play for us. Don't we want players that want to pull on the shirt? If you give a player a contract you can't expect them to just leave when you tell them to go. Unfortunately for a lot our players leaving the club will mean going to a smaller club so they're going to hang on while they can.
As for restricting his access to first team facilities we'd probably be in breach of contract. Let him train as normal, but start picking other players at LB if he's not in our plans.

I doubt Levy would try and sell him without talking to Poch and I doubt Poch will treat him any differently while he's needed in the squad, but that doesn't mean that he thinks that Rose is still the right person for the position.
