Such a sad end to a career. His best days are behind him but with him in a happier place and playing regular football, I think he still has a lot to offer.

He clearly burned a lot more bridges than let on in AoN, and I'd love to know exactly what transpired. Wouldn't be surprised if he talks to the press about it once he's out of the club.

I suspect that’s a certainty!

Let him air the dirty laundry. I suspect it will only come back to bite him on the arse.

I think we will pay his contract off at a reduced rate. This will benefit us and Danny . I think not sure that he could sign for any club that wanted him as he would be a free agent then

Never been Levy's MO. Bentley and Gomes are two examples where we just kept them until their contract expired.

I expect we'll just carry on paying him. Rose has insisted he's "going nowhere" (or at least he did in the recent past), and I doubt the club will want to pay him to instantly get a contract with, potentially, a rival.

Big question is why does no club want him , has to be wage demands, whatever he is on at Spurs no other club wants to better it probably most offering lower , perhaps Rose and Ozil should team up for a kickabout.

PS. Both CCV and Rose on the unwanted list , no squad numbers , so unlikely to be seen again.

Is he training with our reserves? I can't imagine he'd let us rip up the remaining year of his contract and not get paid, but unfortunately unless we make him a free agent his options are now limited. Best case for him would be to negotiate a compromised severance package so he can then negotiate a new deal with whoever he wants. Otherwise it's play in the reserves or find a championship club

We cancelled Adebayor’s contract

It’s more than just wages. He is out of shape and is well known for running to the media whenever it is going the way he wants.

I doubt he will play for the reserves as he will be stunting the development of others. So train maybe but I cannot see him playing.

What advantage does that give us? Why not hold onto him until his contract runs out?

If we aren't going to play him it doesn't cost us anything to retain him till next summer.
I think if we came to an agreement where we still paid 50 or 75% of his wages it might, depending on what contract he can get at another club. He might be inclined to accept that also if he could earn a bigger total pay packet finding another club in the next month.

But yeah paying off his whole contract is pointless.

Regardless of his health (which we know little about) it’s obvious that a) nobody wants to take him on at his current wages and b) he’s happy to sit out his contract as he previously stated. Every club has them, Ozil is the best example

I can understand Danny being disillusioned and falling out of love with football.......however, I think it would make a really good documentary to see what he makes of real life, having to work the 9 to 5, getting paid a normal wage, being a nobody outside of the media spotlight - fortunately, he's earnt so much in a short space of time that he'll probably never actually experience the real-life reality that the rest of us live in.

We don't know much about his health and his psychological disposition, but I can't imagine being a "normal" person will improve matters too much, so I do worry for the guy that he might come down to earth with an enormous bump. A real shame, as for a long time he was by far my favourite player.

Meh. Rose was injured for 6 months and thought it was appropriate to go to the press the day before the season kicked off to complain about, among others, how he was not valued and paid according to his 'worth'. Fast forward and he again tells the press how he will see out his contract at the same club he belittled and which apparently underpaid and under valued him.
The hypocrisy seems lost on him. Added his behaviour on All or Nothing, there is a pattern of narcissistic behaviour.

If we don't find a club to take him in the next 10 days I hope we release through mutual consent rather than have him stick around.
