Future top CB in the world, he's going to be incredible. I think his positional awareness will continue to improve, IMO his next big step up will be in his offensive contribution. We've seen glimpses of what he can do via dribbling the ball but would be a big boost to the team if he can intercept the ball and start bombing forward with it to start counter attacks.

Probably been said but I’m sure these have all been sorted weeks ago and will drip feed over next few weeks. Good stuff especially if he has a big World Cup.

Uh, how f-- did he not get nominated for any of the young player awards?

One reason might be that he slipped into our team so seamlessly that he kind of went unnoticed. We expect young players to be like Dele, Sterling or Sane - plenty of mistakes and emotion, but with clear talent. Only difference with Sanchez was that he was the latter without (much of) the former. It's as if he got penalised for being too good too soon. Weird.

They’ve only added a year onto his current contract
He signed for 6 years when we got him from Ajax.... I think that's the max?

So basically he finished a year. And we added one. so it's back at the maximum of 6 years.

Anywho...hopefully a pay rise. He deserves it after a massively impressive season.

Absolute star this lad. With Toby's injury problems, this year could have been a nightmare. As it is, we've barely noticed most of the time.
