He was successful in his appeal, and doesn't need the Latvian passport now.I thought he had a Latvian(?) passport and did not need a WP?

I thought as much, don't think we really need him at the moment,
Walker, Chiriches, Naughton and Dier all able at RB.
Why add to the wage bill? Especially if we are going for a forward this window.
He will join in the summer I think.
He is joining in January. It's been confirmed by the MLS.Just seen on ssn that we have got a work permit sorted for him to join in august. Still could change but I would go with this so far.
Lamela works very hard defensively. As for communication, part of Yedlin's family is Dominican. I wouldn't be surprised if he grew up with Spanish in his household. It's very common over here. It's hard to imagine Yedlin and Lamela playing together on the right side. That could cause some defensive woes, I'd venture to say.

Do you honestly think Pochettino is replacing Lamela with Yedlin? Seriously?
That's what I've been thinking. At worst we end up with a younger Lennon clone.it would not surprise me if he ends up being the replacement for lennon.
nope but no reason why lamela cant play on the left
There is a huge reason he can't play on the left - he has no right foot. Can't play an inverted winger on the left with no right foot imo.
Sounds like we're giving him six months to bed in and he'll fight for a starting place next season.
